Good Christmas films for a toddler

My son loves Christmas (like his mum 😂) and really enjoys Christmas films.
At the moment his favourite is Arthur Christmas but I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for other films he might like.
He’s very sensitive to people/animals being sad or hurt (even with Arthur Christmas he keeps asking for a bike for Christmas so he can give it to the girl so she won’t be sad). So nothing with melting snowmen!

When dd1 was a toddler she adored christmas mickey on disney+. We had to watch it all year round haha.

I think it's actually called Mickey mouse's once upon a christmas or something like that, but forever 'Christmas Mickey' said in cute toddler voice in our house

A lot of kids films do a short Christmas special, there's definitely a Madagascar one and a Shrek one.

The Grinch (the cartoon one, the other one is a bit scary).

Curious George: A very monkey christmas. It's on youtube, lovely animation and nothing sad!

I’d also recommend the CBeebies pantomimes on BBCiplayer. There are quite a few on there, some traditional panto, some ballets but they include the CBeebies presenters. Alice in Wonderland is one of our favourites.

DD was terrified of muppet Christmas Carol even before the ghosts came on and then I remembered how scared I was as a child of the “ghost of Christmas yet to come” that I’m saving it til she’s a bit older. Amazing film though.

I love that film but again might be a bit scary with the warring families?

DD loved the grinch (animated), Polar Express was ok but a few scary bits, she’s ok with the ghost but we fast forward the puppets.

Thank you for this, he absolutely loved it. I was going to try one of the other films too but he insisted we watch ‘Monkey Christmas, again, again’ 😂
Hopefully we’ll get to try some of the others over the next few days!

Ah, I'm glad he enjoyed it! From memory there's a New Year's episode too, for when that comes around, and the general series is lovely.

The Winnie the Pooh Christmas one is nice too.

Have all been hits with my rather sensitive DD

We love all the Julia Donaldson films. He loves Highway Rat and Superworm so much (he wanders around reciting them and pretending to be the Highway Rat).

I think he’d really like Robbie the Reindeer. I just need to get him to agree to watch something other than ‘Monkey Christmas’!

Amazing, he absolutely loves it (we’re watching it again today). We haven’t had chance to watch any of the other suggestions because he just wants the monkey

Watched The Night Before Christmas In Wonderland (Sky) with my 3 year old tonight and she enjoyed it.

If you have apple tv the Velveteen Rabbit is good

Arg not the velveteen rabbit if he is sensitive! Someone read the book to my DC at a summer camp when she was six and she lay awake worrying about at nights over a period of months !

That Christmas on Netflix - so good, my kids have watched it about 8 times so far and love it!

Another vote for That Christmas- my 2.5yr old is a big fan, and nothing scary (although I have fallen asleep for the same 20mins each time we’ve watched)
