Just found out family have plans and quite gutted as always spend a couple lovely hours with them. I need a distraction for Christmas morning so I am wondering what everyone else does between breakfast and Christmas dinner (not into tv or walks).

We don't have kids and after a lie in / leisurely pastry based breakfast and pressies we will either put a podcast we both enjoy on, play music and have a read, or play a card or board game.

Will usually do calls / video calls to close family at this time as well, so that we don't have to think of it after a big fat roast dinner.

We have a dog, so also do a walk, which I appreciate isn't your thing!

We're on our own. For me get up when I'm ready, feed cats, open presents from DH and friends, breakfast, food prep, coffee ans Xmas cake. One of us will collect my Mum around 11.30. We eat around 1-1.30pm, so the rest of the time will be taken arranging table, cooking

We get up and have a lovely breakfast with some fizz.
Might open a present.
Make phone calls to family.
Do any dinner prep and then go for a walk.
Come back and start cooking, pop die hard on and open some more presents.
Have a lovely lazy, decedent day.
