Just that. I'm usually pretty good but this year is hectic and I'm struggling. Budget around 50 ish.

He likes - and included for completeness with why I'm not buying these things this year, or hoping not to!
Golf (he just asks for gloves and balls, which I'm sick of getting)
Music (have prev got concert tickets but there's nothing on anytime soon that he would be into.
Birds (already given him fancy feeders, incl a window one)
Travel (out of budget)
Wine (which is what we usually get him, but frankly, he knows far more about it than me, so not sure we ever get it right).

He's also lucky enough to have enough money that anything significant he wants, he has probably already bought himself. We bought him a portable bluetooth speaker for the garden for his birthday, which he loved.

Just feeling very out of inspiration this year!
Thanks for any sharing of things you're buying to give me some ideas.

Tickets to next year's golf british masters or scottish open? Depending on which day you choose, there are tickets for £25, so you could get a pair so he could attend with someone else.
Tickets | Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo 2025 - DP World Tour

Tickets | Genesis Scottish Open 2025 - DP World Tour

I'm getting mine an airfryer, it's getting harder to find anything they need!

How about a trip to a vineyard, I know there are some in England? Or a wine subscription?

I'm struggling similarly. My Dad often gets slippers, which he likes and wears but if his slippers don't need replacing it is difficult.

Presents he's enjoyed and used in the past have been things like a smart speaker, an android equivalent of an airtag and a fit bit. Occasionally books or CDs but it depends if there is something suitable.

Tickets to say a museum or show are popular too although they are normally so boring nobody will go with him!

The vineyard suggestion is good, I did that for DH one year and it was a nice trip. Some are more interesting than others, ideally find a winery where they make the wine rather than just where they grow the grapes, and look for tastings being held at the same time.

Distillery or Brewery visits can be nice trips too. We took Dad to a local Brewery a few years ago and he made a total nuisance of himself asking obscure questions but made up for it by making a fairly large order at the end.

Not a dad but a 75 year old DH.
Good bluetooth headphones.
A subscription to Scientific American.
Last year I got him a smart watch.
Anything technology based.
Definitely no vouchers, experiences or tickets.

A vintage book related to his hobby. It seemed a good idea at the time 😁
