Looking for gifts to donate to Christmas appeal for teenagers

I'm buying some gifts to donate to a local Christmas appeal and managed to get some lovely toys in Tesco for younger children tonight but want to gather some things together for teenagers. (Really great bargains on lots of branded toys just now)
I would have used my teens' lists but they are very hobby and interest specific this year.
Does anyone have any experience of teens that have either received gifts from this sort of appeal and what went down well or have volunteered and know what was most gratefully received? I don't want to get them cheap rubbish for the sake of it so looking for good quality gifts that are bargains just now to maximise the number of things I can donate.

The local radio is doing a gift collection and their website suggests:
hot water bottles, pyjamas, warm clothes, hairdryers, make up, headphones or books for the 12-18 age group

@Needmorelego I agree it would be a big mistake for 100% of teen girl gifts to be beauty stuff, as not every single teenage girl wants that. However, a LOT of teens do! And it's an area where brands are more important, which is why I listed brands for those things. There are other gifts where the brand is not necessarily so important because the item is cute or comforting in itself.

I still disagree on the puzzle book. Again, I'm not saying that would be a bad gift for any teen, but it has literally never come up in any teen oriented gif guide I've ever seen, and I've seen dozens to hundreds because I go on TikTok a lot. I don't seek out teen focused content as I'm an adult, but because TikTok is a young people driven app, even adults often get fed teens' content because there are so many young creators. I enjoy "lifestyle" content, especially at Christmas, so I regularly see gift guides like this.

More suggestions:
Boux Avenue fluffy socks
Wrist bands for face washing (any brand but I know H&M and Urban outfitters do them)
Cute mugs from Sass & Belle or Urban Outfitters (they have gingham, ones with bows, cake themed ones, etc)
Trinket dishes
Cute key chains from Urban Outfitters
Baggu small foldable bags
Hello Kitty mini lamp (include batteries if you get this)
Books or graphic novels by Alice Oseman (younger teens)
Sundae shower foam
Taylor Swift "lines to live by" book

@verysmellyjelly for puzzle book I meant something along the lines of this type.
Not a basic wordsearch book 🙂

@downwindofyou does that matter?
They're fine for 13 - 15 year olds.
I don't really know much about what 16 - 19 year olds are into. I just suggested things my daughter likes.
People are cranky on this thread 😂

Errrrr you are the one who sounds cranky. The age range wasn't just the age range you buy for and you admit to not knowing what older teens want. But you happily criticised all the suggestions for older teens even when those were what was asked for
🙄
Your comments were a bit rude and unhelpful

Needmorelego · 30/11/2024 11:39

@downwindofyou no I said if they were part of a scheme where a child has SPECIFICALLY asked for something (ie a voucher for a certain shop, airpods, make up......) then that's FINE TO GET.
If the scheme is just for generic gifts that you don't know where the teens receiving the gifts are going to and their living circumstances - then best to avoid.
🙄

Shhh. Calm down

My early teens love fluffy socks, fleece PJs, those wrist bands for face washing, headbands for keeping hair out the way when washing face, heatless hair curlers, fluffy blankets

Needmorelego · 30/11/2024 23:41

@downwindofyou same to you dear 😂🎄😂

ElvenElf · 01/12/2024 00:30

Thanks everyone, I got a mixture of the suggestions as I realise not every teen will be wanting the same sort of thing and hopefully the charity can pair them up with a teen with the correct interest.
Everything was handed in today along with sweets and chocolate. Even if things aren't up their street exactly it is still nice to have something to unwrap and know someone has thought of them. I tried to find a few things to do as well as some other gifts.
Thanks again
