Christmas dinner table set up

We have our dining table in the kitchen and id like to eat in the conservatory as its bigger and not so hot when we've been cooking all day.
The table is solid wood and would be really tricky to move- does anyone use a folding/ wallpaper pasting type table to eat from? Or am I better finding a cheap charity shop or marketplace table and storing it in the shed when not in use- I'm worried the folding one would collapse!
Also, if anyone has any cheap and cheerful ways of making the table look beautiful please share- I have a navy blue tablecloth and some gold candlestick holders but always lose creativity at that point!

We have a large picnic table we use at Christmas. A papering table won't be strong enough

Have A look in Pinterest for inspiration, or in shops and just copy one you like- you can pick up lots of bits really cheaply. I have some lovely gold chargers from Home Bargains that I use every year, they definitely make the table look different

The Range had folding trestle tables in when I was there the other day - not sure how many you need to seat but you'd get 6 round it.

B&M/The Range/ Aldi and most the supermarkets all do xmas tablecloths/runners/napkins and the charger plates that were mentioned x

We've always used wallpapering tables when needed, definitely strong enough.

Costco sell great folding tables, I’m not sure how high they go though but they are sturdy and fold down well to store

We bought a cheap Ikea table with the screw in legs. It was hideous but we would cover it with a table cloth. Just unscrew the legs and it stores flat. Worked really well

I'd get a folding plastic trestle table. We use our loads. Very sturdy

I’ve bought trestle tables from the local reclamation yard. They had a selection of shapes and sizes from hotels/wedding venues for about £30/£40. Market place on Facebook may also list them
