Affordable Experience type gifts in the UK

Hi! As the username suggests I live overseas but all my family live in the London area.

I want to minimise “stuff” for travel reasons (and we all have too much stuff these days!) so looking for ideas of UK experience type gifts for all ages, young families, millennial couples, my parents etc…

But, a southern European salary only gets me so far, theatre tickets etc run into the hundreds…

any ideas? Thank you very much in advance!

Why not send Christmas flowers or edibles/drinkables instead.

I've just bought one of these for my dc, they get good reviews and are £19.99. I know they like a day out in the city and it will add some interest/teach them a bit about the city they live in. I'll get them a voucher for a lunch spot along the way to go with it.

If they’ve got a car, so can get out of London.

Buy a gift spa day £45 but with their discount code you can sometimes get them for around £35

I always bring a lot of Spanish goodies withe me but i fear it is becoming boring and predictable!!

Just watch out when you buy experience vouchers (especially cheap ones) that you are not committing the recipient to extra cost. There is almost always additional cost to booking the experience on a sensible day, at a sensible time anywhere near them. The exception I have found is afternoon tea vouchers (but you can just as easily arrange these direct with the venue).

I've bought couple and got a 20% discount and then they emailed me with a better one as I left them in my basket 😊

I bought 3 for pressies and was £106 total

Just an idea but there's definitely no added fees with these ones

Think the restaurant ones maybe come with a service charge but yes you need to check the T&C

If you get the todaytix app they often do flash sales on theatre tickets. You can get some good deals (careful though as standard price they can be more than direct)
