Any suggestions for where I could book to visit Santa in London at this late stage (double booked)

So I have tickets for my 6 year old to visit Father Christmas at Kenwood where we've always gone. Booked ages ago. Unfortunately godparents have booked surprise theatre tickets as a present for her that fall the same time & day.

No question of not going to the theatre - it's an expensive show & a big treat - but Kenwood, John Lewis and other big Santas are booked up.

It has to be weekends unfortunately as I work full time.

Is there a site where could try swap tickets?

Not that I'm aware of, I'd be surprised if anyone wants to swap, it sells out very quickly.

I should add it doesn't need to be an amazing high quality Santa! Any smaller grotto would do.

Someone else in the same boat who can no longer make it would want to swap.

Can you return them?

I'm not bothered about getting my money back particularly. Just don't want my DD to miss out.

Try garden centres, or small town shopping centres, eg Ealing Broadway centre has a meet Santa section so other places will too.

Thank you, I booked Lewis of London (expensive and a bit of a pain to get to, but available!) in the end.

Oh my gosh, things have got so much more complicated over just the last few years. Surely just any tacky high street Santa will do.? It has become such a huge tottering overblown fantasy. Wouldn't it be better just to keep things simple? Surely children pick up on the stress of making such a big production over what used to be just a little traditional thing?
