What's on your teenage daughter's Christmas list?

I'm stuck for what to get my nearly 15-year-old (apart from Sephora gift voucher and money). She's a typical teenager into all the latest TikTok trends, branded make-up, skincare and perfume.

So what have your teenage girls asked for?

Ohh my daughter also wants a Jellycat 😂 I think she mentioned the Rabbit 🐇 and Peanut 🥜

DD age 16 would like

Slippers
A big list of books
Some really good, thick, origami paper
Frog juice (I believe this is craft related)
Waterproof fineliners
Various Lego Star wars helmets
To go learn flint knapping

And probably a new phone because hers seems to have broken today.

Flint knapping sounds so random but so cool 😂 much better than all the skin care rubbish mine is into

Thank you all btw for all your awesome lists 🤩 most of the stuff is exactly what mine would want and I have put it on my list.

I've seen there are a few horsey teens on here. Mine actually also needs new yard boots and would want (expensive 🙄) new horse tack as well as a MacBook 💻 but that would have to wait until her birthday next year I think (if I can get family to chip in 😜)

DD is getting
An oodie dressing gown she asked for.
A hoodie with pics of the cat on as a silly surprise.
A couple of necklaces.
Jack Wills smellies in a scent she likes
A tin of lindor Christmas chocs.
A bottle of rose she likes (she's 19)
And tickets to the theatre to watch something she's been wanting to see again for a while.

Needmorelego · 22/11/2024 22:25

@XelaM the Jellycat peanut is rather adorable 😁

IdaClair · 22/11/2024 22:33

I have 2 and between them they would like

Fluffy blankets
A trip to Bristol
To go to Copenhagen
A sausage dog
A new camera lens
Climbing shoes
A fringe
Body spray
Sourdough tools
A geography facts book
Jellycats

They may get to go to Bristol. They will not get a dog. I doubt we will manage Copenhagen.

They are getting the camera lens, a new camera bag, a haircut voucher, a fluffy blanket and a jelly cat. And a mini fridge for her room as a surprise.

The other will get the climbing shoes, sourdough stuff, specific geography book, a fluffy blanket and a jellycat. And a mushroom foraging course as a surprise.

I’m sure the stocking will stretch to some body spray and chocolate.

Any particular jellycats? My niece is mid teens, we are not remotely close but I do like to buy her presents. For various complicated reasons asking for suggestions isn't easy at the moment so I'm flying blind a little so this thread is very useful.

Hurdlin · 23/11/2024 00:11

My DD has asked for a Jellycat too - wondering what the appeal is particularly for teens this year! I thought it was a really odd request but from this thread it looks like they are very popular!

fourelementary · 23/11/2024 01:04

Dd15 loves jelly cats. Can confirm the peanutnis cute. The amuseable range is popular id say… try to find one that’s personal to the teen? So a favourite food or animal? The dragons are particularly lovely too… DD wanted Bartholomew the best this year… I don’t even think he’s that cute but she will get him anyway!
DS is 12 and still loves his teeny fox he got years ago…
Their Xmas range is also very cute!!!

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 23/11/2024 07:44

@idaClair my dd got a mushroom foraging day last year, cashed it in this autumn. She loved it.

Manchesterbythesea · 23/11/2024 07:49

DD16 has asked for a GHD Duet, the accompanying heat protector and Nike socks!

Onlymurders · 23/11/2024 08:54

@christmaspudding43 my daughter asked for the sun and cloud ones for her uni room next year. Apparently they're popular on instagram in student rooms. We've also got her one relating to her sport.

What a brilliant present. Love this!

Oreyt · 23/11/2024 08:57

It's weird as dds are 12 and 14 and only this year have asked for a Jellycat. Typically they want the ones I can't find.

Stowickthevast · 23/11/2024 09:17

For jellycats, mine has asked for Wiley Whale, Dexter/sage dragon, one of the bunnies (she had about 5 of these when she was little and they've been in the lift for years!), or Timmy Turtle, who is wonderfully grumpy.

makemineadecaf · 23/11/2024 14:39

Dd14.5...
Victoria's Secret makeup bag
Victoria's Secret button pyjamas (classic pink stripe)
Pandora charm
Calvin klein bralettes
Jeans
Lash serum
Hair products

I set a 'let me know when it's back in stock' email on numerous sites and got them that way. They are ridiculously popular!

ImDuranDuran · 22/11/2024 21:54

Exactly the same here...DD15 has asked for very little and there is certainly no 'main' present to work around.

Maybe I was the same at 15...

Anyway re the Jellycat, she too has mentioned these in the past. Can I ask what ones your DD is interested in? Is there a generic 'cool with 15 year olds' version? Grin

She has sent me links to a pink star - but it’s sold out!!

Tearsricochet · 24/11/2024 09:30

I’ve now been tempted by the Shark 4 in 1….DD has thick hair and she struggles to get it to maintain a curl. Wondering if this would be good or whether it will sit in a drawer?

@OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea do you have the list of books? DD loves to read - she’s a bit younger at 14.5…but I’m not sure what books to buy this year

PhantomErik · 24/11/2024 09:49

Tearsricochet hope you don't mind me commenting but DD has recently been reading some older classics & loving them.

Recent favourites have been Frankenstein, 1984, Animal Farm & Lord of the Flies.

She also read the Shatter Me series last year after seeing it online & flew through it.

commonground · 24/11/2024 09:59

Jellycats are super popular, especially the amuseables - croissants, cappucinos, toast, all popular here.

Or if you can get hold of Cecile the chicken that is a great choice because it's quirky without being too 'babyish' but also satisfyingly soft and squishable and a nice size to sit with cushions on a bed.
