Hello, my daughter has just turned 3. She loves doing crafty sort of stuff.

As she had just had her birthday I’m sort of out of ideas now.

She has already got playdoh sets, like ones with different shapes, a Peppa pig one, a food blender etc.

Shes got a few different kinetic sand sets.

Shes got lots of colouring gear, pencils, crayons, colouring books, paints, stamps.

Can anyone think of anything else along these lines but different! Thank you!

Threading/lacing?

HighburyLass · 20/11/2024 21:35

Hama beads?

MamaWeasel · 20/11/2024 21:37

You can get big hama beads, if the small ones are too fiddly for her just yet.

MamaWeasel · 20/11/2024 21:38

Textured plastic sheets to encourage her to take rubbing with wax crayons?

MamaWeasel · 20/11/2024 21:41

Things like this (on 3 for 2 at hobbycraft at the moment

Mine liked the Skillmatics fun with foam kits at that age, simple but satisfying (obviously watch her with the small stickers if she puts things in her mouth).
Melissa & Doug do nice wooden bead sets (may be a bit tricky yet).
Dot markers are fun to get some movement into the art!

Check out Baker Ross, I used to love it when mine was younger

Fuzzy felt boards?

MamaWeasel · 20/11/2024 21:45

Air drying clay that she can make objets d'art from and paint once dry.

FusionChefGeoff · 20/11/2024 21:53

A huge pile of random boxes / egg cartons
Rolls and rolls of sellotape

MamaWeasel · 20/11/2024 22:20

Ours adored their very own rolls of cooking foil and greaseproof paper to create with......just take the out of the boxes first as the boxes have sharp edges.

Would she like to make her own fairy garden? You can get blank doors to paint at Hobbycraft.

Butterflyflutterbyz · 24/11/2024 01:24

Thank you all, some really helpful suggestions 😊

I'd make her a craft kit:

Scissors
Pritt stick
Tape dispenser
Sheets of felt/card/shiny paper
Tissue paper
Pompoms
Lolly sticks
Jewels
Glitter
Stickers
Pipe cleaners
Straws
Various other bits from the craft section

Have a look at Djeco- they do a number of craft sets aimed at younger kids. My niece had both of these sets and absolutely loved them.

I bought mine a Toucan box subscription at that age and we really enjoyed making the little crafts together each month 🥰

On Amazon (and no doubt other places) you can get packs of scissors which create a different finish as they cut as they have slightly different blades (so zig zags, a curved zig zag).
The Works is really good for this sort of thing. They have packs of blank cards and all sorts of other things
As others have suggested, get some different colour paper, tissue paper, stickers and all sorts of other things and your DD will have lots of fun

My 4 year old loves those scratch away sheets. Black coated card with metallic rainbow underneath. We had some butterfly shaped ones where you scratched out the pattern of the wings.

The paper mache animals and boxes/letters in hobbycraft went down very well. You can paint them over and over again. We have pumpkins, dinosaurs and an animal for each child.

Simple paint by numbers. It's a mess but good practice for matching numbers and coordination.

Cake decorations. We do lots of icing and 'creative' toppings. Silver balls, flowers, unicorn sprinkles etc.

Pompom maker.

We have a white board and lots of markers. Probably the most used toy in the house. Useful for homework/at home teaching too.
