Christmas is coming up and I have a load of kids to buy for and no ideas. Please send me your ideas for:

  1. my son - 2.5yrs. I feel like he doesn’t have as many toys as others and would love to buy him some more. He’s super energetic and very much a classic boy. The toys he already has are duplo, play dough, lots of cars, a scooter and a ton of books.
  2. two nieces - 3.5 and 4.5, both very girly. On different sides so I could buy them the same things
  3. nephew - 8, lives in Australia and has a TON of stuff
  4. neohew - 11, lives in Australia and also has everything…

any ideas would be great!

Hi op, oh there's nothing like thinking of gift conundrums in the early hours is there!

For your youngest, I'd maybe suggest searching marketplace and similar to be honest. When my son was 2 and 3 I got great bundles of stuff related to what TV shows or books he was into - postman pat figures and vehicles, hey Duggee talking teddies, paw patrol bundles. I didn't mind as they were in great condition but much cheaper than new. Playmobil is a good shout too or happy land if if he's not quite got the dexterity for Playmobil yet. Magna tiles are great but my son was definitely more 3ish before he really had the patience for them, although he likes clicking them together flat to make car tracks etc too. Maybe a scooter and balls and stuff for outside? My son's birthday is Dec and we ask for a mix of toys and vouchers, we use the vouchers in the summer for outdoor stuff like paddling pool, sand pits etc.

Nieces maybe squishmallow things or kits, like potions, jewellery, coloured sands etc? Craft / art sets?

2.5 years - stomp rocket, space hopper, first remote control car. My son loved and still loves playdoh, there are some great marvel ets out this year. Scooter was a big hit at that age.
Nieces 3.5 to 4.5 - Anything barbie or craft kits or games - galt or Orchard toys. Kinetic sand kits.
Nephews - lego - there will be new sets out - argos usually have good lego offers. Or get books

For your son I think the melissa and doug vending machine looks really cool

What's your budget for your relatives? Necessarily would probably love the usbourne dress up Dollies sticker books. A set of magnetic tiles to share? A little live pets set each?

Older boys, I have no idea

@Dazedandconfusedma my 2 year old likes magnatiles, any magnetic toy, stepping stones, chad valley light and sound construction set, battery powered trains, car transporter, little people garage, stickers and stamps of different vehicles.

@Dazedandconfusedma also chopping up play vegetables and cutting and serving cake and playing ice cream parlours. My little one is the same and loves cars etc but plays with these bits a lot as well

I wouldn't send anything to your nephews in Australia due to the cost of postage. Whilst it's lovely for them to have gifts to open, 2 ideas are gift vouchers for Amazon AU, or Westfield AU. Assuming the family live near a westfields shopping centre I email a gift voucher to one of the parents, then gifts can be bought that way
