Tesco Christmas delivery slots

I just saw that Tesco delivery slots open on 5th November. Last year they opened at 6am.

I am disabled, so have used online shopping at Tesco pretty much since it started.
i so preferred it when the slots opened at midnight. I am a night owl, and getting up early is impossible for me anyway because of my physical limitations.
This will be my 40th consecutive year of cooking Christmas dinner, so the whole day is like a well oiled machine in our house.
We now have a family of 14, and in order to keep things working well I have stayed up all night, and will go to bed when my slot is booked.
I do this every week for my regular slot, but of course that opens at midnight.
it is far easier for me to stay up than to get up.
so, having logged in at 00.00, at 06.00 the site said I had more than an hour to wait. Now, an hour later it says about 40minutes!!

i would love to know how the site organises the queue! Goodness knows what time others logged in to have a shorter wait!

I was logged in from 3am ish as I was awake anyway. I was put in a queue at 5.40 and at 6am told my wait was less than a minute, which it was. Thats rubbish if you were logged in from midnight and you’re still waiting.

Done now. I got Monday 23rd, mid afternoon 🙌🏻
Also ploughed on and got all slots for the rest of the year, so very pleased.

I set an alarm for 5:20 as last year it was pretty chaotic! Queue was paused and seemed to be refreshing every 40 seconds (I was on the app). The first auto refresh after 6am for me was 21 seconds past and it told me I had 41 minutes to wait. By the next refresh it reduced to 20, which was pretty accurate in the end. I had a bit of a panic when it got to my turn and didn't do anything for what seemed like an age! Got in and booked a morning slot on 23rd as I'd wanted. I prefer 23rd for the Christmas shop as we've had some issues in the past with expiry dates so at least I know I can nip out if I need to. Hope everyone got what they wanted, it did seem better than last year, I remember the thread on here keeping me going when there were thousands in front of me! I do wonder if they keep any slots back for those who don't have the delivery saver pass tho, there can't be any decent slots left if you have to wait a week!

I got in the queue and wait time 4 mins. Got the 19th as planned. I don't do my big shop online since the year Tesco cancelled it! Be in Aldi on the Sat morning!!

Ended up being only a couple minutes to wait. Had to take the 23rd 9-11pm as no other options. Was booking for 3 people for the month though so took me till now. Got our usual slots most weeks except Xmas week. Hope everyone got approximately what they wanted 😀

Got straight in, no queue, and booked 8-9pm on 23rd. There were later skits that day but nothing on 22nd which seems a bit weird.
