Small travel board games

I don’t necessarily mean travel versions of games (like the connect 4 you get in WHSmith at the airport) 😁 but some games that come in small packages

Heading abroad for 3 weeks over Christmas with my best mate, plans are largely to eat and do nothing, we love a game of Rummy, Scotland Yard etc but looking for some fun games that are still fun if there’s 2 of you (will have 3/4 days of 4 of us also)

Personalised playing cards: if you want the backs to be your design choice there are plenty of printers like Beanprint on Amazon.

If you want the values to reflect your designs, it can be done but is an undertaking that requires more images. If you want, say, family / holiday images on the front of cards as well as normal suits and values check out SmartPhoto for instance.

@5foot5 just to clarify, sh*thead isn't a packaged game, it's a game that you play with a normal deck of playing cards. rules here

Another game that travels well is Who's in the bag? It's a bit like taboo but for people. You get a bag full of small cards. Each card contains the name of 3 famous people. You have to describe who they are for the rest of the of the group to guess.

The monopoly card game is surprisingly good

Lots of games come in very small boxes. Quirkle is great. I have no idea why the full size version version exists because the travel one is perfect and all in a little pouch
Bananagrams, Sushi Go, Nyet, Gloom, Flux, Arboretum, Zombie Dice. Look at Oink Games too for lots and lots of options of tiny little boxes containing great games like Scout, Deep Sea Adventure, Fake Artist, Insider.....

When I was a kid I DREAMED of working in a games store! I wanted to be the Willy Wonka of Monopoly !

Love letters is great, and comes in a tiny pouch. I've also enjoyed Scout recently, which is a little bigger than a standard deck of cards.
