Fort/Den Building Kit

DCs have asked for a fort building kit for Christmas after seeing the "Crazy Fort" kits in Smyths. One with the poles and balls etc to build a structure for throwing a blanket over. I am looking for recommendations on these kits? Needs to be quite big, robust and/or reasonably priced so I can combine two kits as its to fit a few kids aged between 3 & 7.

We have the 'Crazy Forts' Kit. It's pretty sturdy when built. Definitely need two kits though- you can't do much with one: also need a cover of sorts- a regular blanket is too heavy. It's a bit tricky for your 3 year old to do, but 7 year old will be fine. They have some instructions with them to build some funky dens.

@Voiceofreason92 I have looked at these kits... one called a mega kit I believe that comes with double the amount of bits plus a light. I have been reading the reviews and a lot of them state it's not very sturdy or robust for children.

What sheet do you use? I had hope to just allow them to use their hundreds of fleece blankets etc with some pegs to hold them in place.

We have some very thin sofa covers that are very thin and light. When we put a slightly heavier fluffy blanket on, we find them too heavy. I have seen some camo netting on amazon that i've often thought would be good too.
My kids are 4, 8 and 10. They play with these den kits all the time, they have really stood the test of time.
I would say though that some of the designs need adult support, as if you don't push the sticks in far enough, they come loose but i'd
Recommend these kits.

However, my kids love nothing more than building a den in the living room and then bringing all of their toys downstairs into the den. They do not, however, enjoy packing all of it away!!!!!!

What happens to a table , a few chairs and a sheet?

Or a clothes dryer, exercise bike and the sofa throw

Fire guards are good for dens.

If you want something more robust and long lasting then quadro is good and can be used/left outside. You can pick it up relatively cheap on ebay

They currently use the sofa, a random seat and my drying rack...and whatever else they can find. It's fine but not when they want it up all weekend and I'm left with no where to sit or dry my clothes lol.
