Depends what she likes surely...sports? Reading? Art? Skateboarding? Ballet?

Jettyspaghetti · 12/10/2024 12:51

DD is 15
She's asked for airpod pros and a white fox hoodie.
I'll get her some sprays from Victoria's secret
Other than that I'm struggling- she has a job and buys herself anything she wants.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/10/2024 23:35

Mine isn't a teen, she's 22, I've bought her presents now and hopefully going to avoid The Twitch !!

99% is things she's chosen or said she wants , and I've made a couple of Lucky Guesses with the rest .

Main present (Lucky Guess but she's seen them and really pleased ) diamond/gold stud earrings.

Other things :
She has a Dec 1st Box ( as does DS) so she cam use things leading up to Christmas

Nail polishes ( Nails Inc and a new to me brand Londontown)
Eyelash serum ( she had early as it takes a while to work )
Mario Badescu set
Skincare mini set
Aldi bodywash
Aldi skin care
Fenty lipbalm ( probably Christmas)
Pyjamas ( 2 sets )
Tarte mascara
Ring (silver)
Card wallet
Hair -dry shampoo and protector
Christmas mug

I'll get her some underwear (branded- not sure what)
I have £1 coin holders for DD and DS and I;ll keep one in the car and one in my bag -they take £15 of coins each

I used to do a Beauty Advent calendar which is quite hard work , I;ve done the Dec 1st Box for a few tears now . I re-use their bags

Bit of a mixed bag here , I'm hoping I;m finished now (except the underwear ) then I need to finish DS's but he likes cash as his present .

Borris · 13/10/2024 07:33

Record player and records
Band T-shirts
Band poster
Polo belt
Wavy hair products kit
Venus flytrap
Tote bag

snowmanshoes · 13/10/2024 07:45

My dds turn 14 and 19 not longer after Christmas

Theyve both asked for jewellery this year so I’ve ordered the solace 3 for 2 offer on the earrings and I’m getting the eldest a link bracelet (she chose) and youngest a classic Pandora one.
Theyll both be having some kind of beauty hamper - Sephora bits mixed in with cheaper items and a few key bits I know they need refreshing
Clothes for youngest
Thats all for now

Girls this age vary so much. Unless you tell us more about them you've got a much better chance of having the right idea than some randomers on the internet.

XiCi · 13/10/2024 08:32

Dd is 14. So far I've bought some footwear (Nike AF1 & Ugg Tazz platform), Earrings, Byoma skincare, Japanese snack box, a baking set, a vintage top she wanted from Depop, Laneige lip mask set, Sol de Janeiro set, Victoria secret spray, posca pens with sketch pads and a light up make up box.

Actually I think it's more useful to just get a snapshot of what everyone is buying. More likely then to come across something you hadn't thought of before that would be a surprise hit instead of saying they are interested in horses, for example, and just getting a thousand horsey related suggestions.

Unrulyrabbit · 13/10/2024 08:36

I have a young teen, looking for a deal on one of the virtual headsets, wondering whether this is as good as it gets on this one: www.argos.co.uk/product/4746188

XiCi · 13/10/2024 08:38

I think I'd be waiting for Black Friday for that type of gift @Unrulyrabbit

I'm often amazed at the amount of stuff some get. I feel a bit shit about dds small haul but I am trying to dial back Xmas a bit.

PhotoDad · 13/10/2024 09:39

Hard to say without knowing anything about them! My DD got a 100-400mm f/4-6.3 Leica lens at around that age... which probably isn't much use to you!😀

I love seeing what others get. Sometimes something jumps out at you

Fair enough! In which case my recommendation would be a proper camera of any kind, for better pics than a phone. 😀

I'm often amazed at the amount of stuff some get. I feel a bit shit about dds small haul but I am trying to dial back Xmas a bit.

Everyone is different , I am always a bit <urgh> by the posters on Style&Beauty who buy themselves the mega pricey Advent Calendars , often not limited to one .
Items that are a standalone gift in one days offering . And saying "Well that's a DOD (Drawer of Doom) I;ve already got four xyz creams "
There's also the huge amount of packaging in these things .
I don'r buy them, I don't post on these threads either TBH.

I do buy quite a bit for my daughter but it's things she'll use .

If it's any conciilation my DS present list is minimal , he doesn't like "things" , I have learned over the years not to buy him things just to make his present pile look decent , He gets wearable things / face+bodycare/sweets. And money in his bank which is his request .

I think every year , everyone looks back and thinks "I should've done that different" be it what you spend , what you eat what you buy to eat and who you spend it with .
My Dad would say "never get yourself in debt for Christmas or holidays" and he was right

18 year old. I ask what they would like these days.

Request list is a silver ring, jumper and a skirt.

I'm adding slippers, apple AirPods (if they're still called that), bits and pieces I've picked up in the Olly Bonas sale. Christmas always includes chocolates, a hardback book, perfume, pyjamas.
