£50 (ish) one gift

I’m looking for some suggestions for high end token gifts in the £40-£50 range.
What would you buy, or like to receive?

I’m a bit out of my depth because my idea of a token gift is £5 tops 😂

To be honest, anything you'd think of as a £5 token gift, just fancier. E.g. very nice bunch of flowers, box of chocs, bottle of wine..

one person's nice gift could be another persons waste of money eg. The only thing I'd like out of the suggestion above is the champagne but tbh £40-50 won't buy anything out of the ordinary there.

I would love a beautiful bottle of Amarone, meursault, Cloudy Bay Te Koko or a very high quality olive oil or Parmesan

Depends what they are into? I turned 50 this year and asked my Dad for a book token as I’m a total bookworm - I said he’d probably think it was the worst present to give me ever but the joy I’d have just wandering about buying books on a whim without having to try and justify it has given me such happiness. Sometimes it’s the simple things.

Honestly, it depends on the person.
DH is awful to buy, he would appreciate books. a massage voucher or specific model train equipment I have to order for him from a list.
DD would enjoy all kind of earrings or fluffy things.
My mum would want pens and crossword puzzles en masse.
My MIL wants books and perfume.

I tend to buy a Diptyque solid perfume, I love Do Son or Orpheon. They are lovely to have in your handbag, very pretty, smell great and imo quite special.

Go to a local shop and spend it at a small business. Lots of lovely candle stores, food hampers etc.

buy a Vogue magasine. You will have some nice idea from new brands too.

That’s actually a really helpful way to think about it. Will also look at gift guides, and vogue for inspiration.

I have a few “who’s” in mind - it’s this year’s Christmas gift rule with my in-laws, we each 2 people to buy gifts for, but as there are 4 of us in our family, that’s 8 gifts to dream up and I don’t know which ones we’ll draw. And I also need 2 client gifts - so something a bit generic but nice (male and female, early 50s)
….so really any and all suggestions welcome!

£50 doesn’t stretch to as much Lego as it used to ☹️ but you e reminded me to add the flowers to my brainstorm!

I love the Creator 3 in 1 sets. I bought the watering can with flowers set just the other day for 20 quid.
