Now I know the obvious that she won't need, want to know what we've gifted her, but I want to get something lovely for who will be my 1 month old niece.
Can you please tell me your suggestions on what would be maybe useful or lovely gift?

Start a tradition like always giving a nice book to make a collection?

Ask her parents what would be useful if you want a useful gift?

Id have appreciated nappies and half hour babysitting so I could go to bed!

A baby sensory kit. You can get them in personalised bags on Etsy

I like the book idea - perhaps fir her first Christmas a lovely illustrated version of The Night Before Christmas.

A beautiful tree decoration and add to each year so that when she leaves home she has her own set for Christmas

Jelly car teddy bear or anther Jellycat animal

Jointed bear with year on foot

Mobile

Art print of her name inc birthdate and weight - lots on Etsy and NOTHS

My favourite gift I received for my baby was a tuppence and crumble fleecy star wrap. Very cute and useful and not something I would have thought to have bought for my own child.

alternatively, given that your niece won’t know anything about it, maybe go right down the sentimental/ keepsake/ collectibles path… I like the special coins you can buy from the royal mint with childhood characters on them.

A Beatrix Potter music box?

Or start buying Premium Bonds.
