Hi all! Hope I’m posting in the right place.

Our first baby is due 1st October and we already have requests for ideas for Christmas presents for her! I just wondered could anyone recommend me anything she’s likely to need in the first year we could suggest for Christmas or something you loved? Have already suggested weaning set, got high chair, got one of the soft floor seats, a swing seat, plenty of clothes and books, got a baby carrier… we know we’ll get some toys but while she’s so young would ideally like to try and think of things she’s likely to need in the first 12 months.

Thank you! x

People like to get a thing but I would ask for a small token present, maybe a book or a small teddy, and then ask for the rest in cash or vouchers to somewhere like Clarks, M&S, Next or baby friendly days out near you. They don’t need anything at that age and you’ve got all the bug stuff you need, you just end up with crap filling your house. The vouchers will help when you’re coming to the end of maternity leave and money is low, they’re weaning so you’re buying food for them, they are learning to walk so you need some proper shoes for them, you need wellies, you’ll need rain suits as they start to explore outside more. It means you can buy some proper first shoes by using vouchers without flinching at the cost too much, you can then say when you see them in summer that these are the shoes we bought with your voucher.

Ewan the dream sheep and a Moredig room projector were used a lot in our house.

This is a great idea, thank you!

Hadn’t heard of the room projector, that looks fab! Will have a look at both, thank you x
