Just that really x
Some of the designer make up ones I know she'd love but they are very expensive.
Just wondered if anyone had any ideas otherwise it's good old Cadbury's ! X
TIA

Sephora France offered two types of calendar, one expensive one and one for 49 Euros - I opted for the later.

I’m getting DDs 10 & 12 the W7 one, they watched someone opening one on you tube the other day and loved it. I’ve bought W7 in the past for them and both buy bits of W7 products with their pocket money so I’m going that route.

As someone who has never spent much money on cosmetics I struggle with the prices of beauty calendars, I think they are such a waste, but that’s because I’d never use the contents, I buy most of my skincare and makeup from discount bins in supermarkets because I’m so tight.

My DDs are turning out to be very different to me and will save to buy a much wanted beauty item so as they get older I’m open to buying them these calendars if they want them.

The just my look advent is only £55 and comes with a free gift. It is full of make up, skin care and hair care

Personally I don’t think you can beat a chocolate one. At 14 DC’s are old enough to appreciate better quality chocolates like Lindt or hotel chocolat. Whereas your typical six year old will happily inhale the cheap stuff that we in our 30’s and 40’s will remember with nostalgia.

I am skeptical about makeup calendars because you could end up with very little that is actually wanted. Better if you want to do that to get a calendar with drawers big enough to put something in that you know will be wanted. Same with body stuff etc. Then ask for a list of liked colours and scents etc and crucially the absolute no-no’s
I just think these calendars are so risky they can be a big let down.

I got my DD the Body Shop one - it’s £49. It’s the first time she’s had her own beauty advent calendar and she is absolutely over the moon - much more excitement over this than we usually get from birthday or Christmas so it’s been worth it to see how delighted she was.

older ds will be quite happy with chocolate!
