I see these threads every year and they're so useful, always reminds me of a few things I've forgotten!

So does anyone want to share their lists? I'm going to write mine tonight and will share then.

Also meal plans from Christmas Eve onwards, I always get stuck on what to cook for those days in the middle.

Bump in the hood someone replies as this is the latest we have ever started and not written one

Is it just dinner options or just things to eat during Christmas and new year?

I'll put a few things down

Pate
Cheese
Chutney
Grapes
Crackers
Part bake sourdough bread

Tesco due next Saturday and I’ve got a collection to do at M&S too.

M&S
Collect Beef Wellington and the prawn and lobster cocktails, oh and Christmas Colin.
I will also get decent pate, cauliflower cheese and some party food.

Tesco delivery
Breakfast items so bread, bacon, eggs, beans, potato scones
Potatoes, broccoli, sprouts and carrots
Cheese selection, biscuits, chutney and grapes
Dips and crisps
Coffee, milk
Soft drinks, coke, lemonade, fresh orange juice, appetiser, sparkling water
Champagne, white wine, red wine and beer
Gin and tonic
Port
Extra ingredients for home made soup
Part baked bread rolls or baguettes
Foil trays, fairly liquid, matches dishwasher tablets,
Charlie Bighams meals or some ready meals from M&S. I refuse to cook between Christmas and New Year so it’s ready meals with garlic bread.
Fruit, apples, bananas, satsumas
I need to check what condiments we may need.
Cold meats, coleslaw, salad stuff for lunches/sandwiches
Ice cream, magnums, cream.

I need to sort a proper list though. Bound to be a few bits I’ve missed.

I split my list between perishables and non perishables so any time I’ve popped to a supermarket I can check the non perishable list and grab a few bits as and when.

I also save the lists on my phone, check the items off, then next year I go back to the mother-list and add or subtract as needed for that year but typically the basics are the same.

non perishables:
Googe fat
foil trays (saves on washing trays)
vac pack chestnuts
cheese biscuits
Fancy chocolate biscuits
soft drinks
alcohol
after eights
chutneys
pre packed chicken stock
part baked bread rolls
Aioli
nuts
pickled walnuts
baking paper
goose fat
frozen party foods

perishables:
all fruit and veg for dinners
lemon /limes for drinks
herbs- sage, rosemary, thyme
block butter
Cocktail sausages
streaky bacon
cheeses - goats, Boursin, some flavoured ones, Camembert
ham joint
turkey
beef
smoked salmon
large prawns
Pate
orange juice
creme fraiche
double cream
squirty cream
puff pastry
eggs
bread
milk
olives
antipasti platter
yule log / cake/ pudding

@SugarCookieMonster

That's such a genuine idea - simple but effective - have trinity to remember to do that.

This is the first year in I don’t know how long that I’m doing an actual physical Christmas shop rather than shopping online and I’ve realised that my existing list isn’t set up for going round the supermarket as it's organised by meal so would require a lot of zigzagging back and forth across the store! Will have to reorganise it before I go!

I do similar to a pp and try to pick up bits for several weeks beforehand so that it’s mostly fresh food in the Christmas shop
