Slimline REAL trees... do such a thing exist?

As the title asks!

We've always had a real tree but we've moved house this year and there is no where to put a regular sized bushy real tree 😢

The gap we have available is 28" wide maximum. We're going to look at trees today but are we wasting our time even looking at real ones?

TIA 🎄⛄️

You can just prune a tree to the shape and size you prefer?

Sorry, forgot to say, I have googled extensively but to no avail! (Which is making me suspect that it's probably not a thing 😭)

I saw some on the b&q website that claimed to be slim!

Yes B&Q offer slim cut trees, but I don't think even they are 28" slim.
We have quite a narrow space too, we spend quite a lot of time at the tree stalls picking over the trees for a slimmer profile, then some of the bushier branches get pruned back at home.

I did think about just getting a regular one and pruning it but was worried I'd make a pigs ear of it 😂

The trees at our local B&Q are a bit crap (went and had a look yesterday).

Have you got a tree farm near you? We wanted a slimmer tree last year so it wasn't so overbearing and we took a tape measure with us. Because they aren't pre-cut I find there's a better variety of shapes.

Issue is, 28 inches wide on a decent height tree probably isn't possible. Have you considered getting a shorter tree and putting it on a stand or a small table? A friend of mine did that last year and it looked really pretty.

Fraser firs are narrower than nordmann firs or norway spruces, and are quite widely available. But as others have said, it will largely depend on height.

That's not a bad idea! And also saves the issue of where to put the table which is currently in the space where said tree will be going!

Thank you, I hadn't heard of that type before. I think we'll go and take a look around some garden centres and see what's available 😊🎄

We have grown a few Christmas trees and there are now a few "spuggy" ones - which DH has cut on request, but wouldn't cut on spec as very likely no one would want it

So I'd try local growers and see if they have any slim/skinny ones?
