Cards for medical professionals?

I have a psychiatric team who have been hugely helpful this year (a massive amount of support and trust) and would like to give them a homemade card each at my appointment next week.

My GP and one of the practice nurses have also been absolutely brilliant and again, I'd like to give them a homemade card.

However my family feels this is strange... am I being odd or is it a nice gesture?

As a nurse I would love this. The fact someone has gone out of their way and done this means so much. It is an amazing feeling to be told you have made a difference to someone.

We would appreciate this more than any chocolates. We can use it for our revalidation.

Thank you! I thought it would be nice but everyone thought that was stepping over the line...

My very busy GP (practice list 14,000) was so excited by my card and small gift she called me. She said it absolutely made her week (not just her day!)

It's very lovely and will be hugely appreciated especially since you made them.

I'd love this. I'm in paediatrics, so very occasionally kids give me pictures, and I always keep them.

A lovely idea. I hand in a card and treats or a plant to my GP surgery and my pharmacy.
It is nice to be appreciated.
