Novel ideas for giving cash at Christmas

Grown DD is having cash only for the first time this year. Just seen on FB you can buy a puzzle to put some money in for her to work out.

what other silly ways can I dress up money as gifts instead of just bank transferring money over on Christmas Day?

I did this for my son last year. Spent ages putting money and confetti into balloons to do a ball pop. Also did a sort of pass the parcel style - so put money in a box I the middle then wrapped in a layer of paper, a sweet, another layer of paper ( rinse and repeat). Another one was a big mason jar filled with his favourite sweet treat with the note hidden in the middle.

There's some great ideas on Pinterest including shaping cash into Christmas shapes like angels and trees ( although think this would be better in other countries where you can do it with dollar notes)

Thank you, great ideas and reminded me about a beer pong type game I can put together with cash, sweets etc rather than beer!

need to get creative now they are getting far to old for the magic of Father Christmas.

I used to wrap a note round things like a giant jar of Nutella or packet of lotus biscuits.

I have the large baubles you can fill yourself for our nieces and nephews this year.

Lots of sweets, some cash and their names on it in fancy writing!

Pop notes in a cracker and he pulls it and a note falls out.

When I was a kid my parents gave me £100 one year...it was in pound coins in little bags of 10 and there was a treasure hunt to find them all. Loved it!

I also remember feeling really proud going to the bank to deposit it all!

Dh bought a puzzle game from NOTH and you put a note inside it. You can see the note and have to solve the fairly simple puzzle to release it. Reusable too.

Fold into origami shapes and hang from the tree?

My parents had 2 hollow baubles that they used to put Christmas money in, which they then hid around the house (although one year it was in the garden!) Me and my brother used to race each other to find them and it became a great Christmas tradition.

We've gifted money in a pizza box, it went down really well and said child was very confused as to why we had wrapped up a dominos pizza box, until she looked inside. Second a PP who said look on Pinterest, there are some great ideas on there.
