Amazon - how to hide orders?

For the life of me I can't work out how to hide orders so the teens can't see what I've ordered.

From googling it looks like you can archive orders so they're not visible but when I go into my orders I just don't have that option?

Has anyone worked out how to do this?

Why do they have access to your account?

Why do they have access to your account?

This!

Do you not have your own account?

Roselilly36 · 17/11/2023 18:31

Can you move the order emails into a receipts file, and if they know your pw change it.

mylittleprince · 17/11/2023 18:31

So they can order things they need?! They have their own debit cards on there too, so if they are ordering things they want, they pay.

If they are ordering things for school/uni then they will ask first before using my card which is attached to the account.

They are 16-19 and one is at uni anyway, plus we trust them!

Is there a way of us all having our own accounts then and all being able to use prime? I can't see the option..

Could they set up an account between them? You can share prime access with one other account

BoohooWoohoo · 17/11/2023 18:33

My teens have their own Amazon accounts

toomuchfaster · 17/11/2023 18:34

How to hide orders on Amazon with a Household Account
By using Amazon Household, you can share your account with other adults, teens, and children. The benefits of this feature for parents are evident. Adults and teens can share a lot of content, including Prime benefits and digital content, using the Family Library. They can also link the account with their home Alexa device. Teens in the Amazon Household can also share select Prime benefits.

An Amazon Household can be made up of:

Up to 2 adults (aged 18 and over), each with their own Amazon account
Up to 4 teens (ages 13 through 17), who can have their own Amazon login to shop or stream content while keeping their parents informed
Up to 4 children, who will not be permitted to shop on Amazon
How to create an Amazon Household
Creating a Household account will make every user’s purchase and Amazon browsing history private. Users have their own login despite sharing the same payment and account information. This is the most comprehensive way to keep things personal among family and partners.

To create your Amazon Household:

Go to Amazon Household.
Create your Amazon Household.
Select Add Adult to add an adult (you can either send an email invitation or sign up together to verify your accounts).
Select Add a Teen or Add a Child to send an email invite (the teen must accept the parent’s invitation to set up their login).

Just click on ‘view order details’ this will bring up the order details and give you the option to archive

My 11 and 13 YO are always adding stuff to my basket.

Drives me crazy. I keep telling them to log out. Everything I've got them is in there!!

I didn't know you could hide stuff?

mylittleprince · 17/11/2023 19:31

I can't even find the Amazon household section!

OP posts:
tpmumtobe · 17/11/2023 19:34

I did this the other week. You can turn off the recent searches and recent orders bit so you can't see any evidence of what you've been shopping for. It's under "your account>browsing history"

Oldraver · 17/11/2023 19:37

I always archive orders I don't want the teen to know about

SoupDragon · 17/11/2023 19:39

I archive orders too. They don't know (or think) to look.

i clear things from the browsing history too.

blackfluffycat · 17/11/2023 19:43

How do you archive orders?

Goawayquickly · 17/11/2023 19:51

I posted upthread how to do it

Goawayquickly · 17/11/2023 19:52

That was to @blackfluffycat

SleepingisanArt · 17/11/2023 19:56

I didn't know about this but we've always had our own accounts (husband, me and 2 now adult children). As soon as they were old enough to have debit cards the children had their own accounts. Much easier if they want student prime too!

blackfluffycat · 17/11/2023 19:57

I can't find it on the app.

I can't even find the Amazon household section!

In your account. Manage your amazon family.
Can share prime with an adult and up to 4 children. Each their own account only pay one prime

I archive orders by changing amazon page on my phone to a desktop site ( 3 dots top right of phone screen, ) then go into orders and a drop down is on the right side with the option to archive

justmyluck1234 · 26/11/2023 13:30

Not sure if you figured it out but to follow on from bluebellsmile if you have Apple you need to press the Aa (Next to the website bar) and then request desktop site. Then on the top right corner you will se orders and returns and then you can archive.

GlobalCitz · 26/11/2023 13:39

Add them to the family account.

Also it means you each get your own Prime Video profile.

mylittleprince · 26/11/2023 22:18

@justmyluck1234 nope I can't see the 3 dots or an aa Confused I'm on an iPhone
