I have 4 children 2 boys and 2 girls.
I have bought all my boys christmas stuff but im so stuck for the girls. One of my girls are 16 months old (17 months for christmas) my other little girl is 1 week and 2 days old. She will be just over a month and half come Christmas time. I really dont know what to buy for them. So any ideas would be great. ThankyouWink

I think it’s hard when you have older kids because you often already have a lot of toys etc that have been handed down, so there’s not necessarily much they need.

For my son I often buy stuff that he’ll like over the next 6 months or so, even if he’s not quite ready for it yet. I also buy things to add onto sets we already have or stuff that needs replacing/topping up (e.g. art supplies, play dough, bath toys etc).

For my 18 month old this year he’s getting:

  • Wooden toy garage that fits with our wooden train set https://www.scandiborn.co.uk/products/little-dutch-railway-extension-garage
  • Animals of the world Duplo, plus a box of extra Duplo bits
  • Toy tea set (they have one at nursery and he loves it- I’d pay attention to what she plays with on playdates/at nursery etc and buy something similar).
  • Books (he loves them and I get bored reading the same ones I’ve been reading for years, so I’m always happy to have some new ones).
  • The JoJo Maman Bebe wooden farm (it also goes well with our train set). With a season pass for a local Kids Farm (activity presents are good because it’s not something you’ve already got that can be handed down).
For his birthday we’ll probably get him one of the 3in1 scooter bikes (his older brother is still using his so it’s not ready to be handed down). Other things he loves playing with are: Battat wooden vehicles, a Little Dutch doll that’s holding a cat, anything that stacks/hides, a mini construction bench (he loves putting the screws in the holes and hammering things). We also have a Step 23 water/sand table that he adores (it’s excellent quality and I highly recommend it, he older brother loves it too). He’d love a toy kitchen, mini trampoline, Wendy House or climbing/slide equipment buy we don’t really have space.

For the baby I’d buy some small stocking fillers and some little things from siblings/under the tree but put most of the money you’d spend into a savings account for them.
For little gifts I’d go for

  • Felt flap books
  • Bath toys
  • Christmas onesie
  • Matchstick monkey chew toy
  • Bubble bath
  • 1st Christmas tree ornament

Thankyou so much for your reply. What great suggestions. I never actually thought about a day out either. It is so hard especially because all the kids are so close together, they all share everything anyway. But my oldest girl has got the boys hand me down toys and she loves playing with them. I have 4 trunks filled with toys that's probably why i can not think of anything haha. Thankyou again :) :)

Teddy bears add bulk and are often well loved later!

Duplo for their future collection.

pajamas, clothes, hat and mittens etc, stuff they will use.

Bubble bath for babies.

for the older baby, bath chalks and paint sticks.
