What to get teenage boys for Salvation Army appeal?

My local Salvation Army runs a Christmas present appeal every year. They get lot of donations for young kids but significantly fewer for teenagers, especially boys.

Does anyone have any specific gift ideas for teenage boys? Budget is anything up to £20.

Home bargains have lynx sets for 4 pounds, the same ones are sold in Sainsburys and Morrisons for 8 quid.

Our local men's homeless shelter also had them on their amazon wish list last year, so I think they must go down well.

The Greggs or Costa gift cards are a good idea. Do McDonald's or Pizza hut do prepay cards? Teenage boys are always hungry IME. What about a fake oodie? I know a PP might despair but many of these lads must be living in cold houses

Thank you for telling me about Home Bargains. I’ll definitely make a trip there.

As someone said it's important to remember that many of these teens may not have access to Amazon but also even a Starbucks/Maccyds/Gregg's voucher may be unusable if they have no money for bus fare or other means to get to the nearest branch.
I also wouldn't give cash as again there's no guarantee they can actually get to a shop.
I always think - nothing technology based (may not be compatible with anything they have) and nothing that requires batteries (won't be able to get replacements).
No one ever suggests books.
A couple of paperbacks - fairly generic ones like a murder mystery or something, or a book on facts/trivia or something like "unsolved mysteries of the world" type books.
Lego is also a good idea. A stand alone set (so not part of a theme) is good. The Creator 3 in 1 sets are best for that. There's a dinosaur one which is hugely popular and one of a parrot which is really nice.

Last year I did one for a 15yo boy. I got a Nike T quite cheaply, socks, choccies, a fidget toy, sweets.

Some of these have already been addressed, but just typing as I think.

I work with boys, age 11-18, many of who really don't have much at all. Obviously they differ in age...the younger kids often go for 'younger' things, even teddies and Pokémon cards.

Things they always choose as gifts are
Bluetooth speakers
'man bags' (branded Nike/north face/adidas)
A Football
Soft blankets (Primark do great themed ones... video games, Pokémon, grinch etc)
Nice socks...Nike ones in a multipack. You can get cool tie dye ones too.
Cosy jamas/ oodies (Primark have great ones)
Greggs vouchers
Xbox/PlayStation vouchers

Definitely not tech (headphones etc) as many recipients won’t have a phone.
