Bloody love Christmas - looking for some inspiration for DS stocking fillers, he's just turned 3. Made the mistake of buying a big personalized Christmas sack when he was 1 & now need to fill it. Also found because I try to buy toys second hand & they don't come in packaging, they don't take up as much space. Anyway, wanted to share ideas so far & hear what others have found-

  • brio train accessories (2nd hand)
  • bath bombs
  • foam rugby ball
  • monster truck
  • light up/noise light saber (Asda £3)
  • Bubble bath
  • Chocolate coins
  • Dinosaur figures (2nd hand)
  • Paw patrol cupcake mix
  • Dinosaur sprinkles
  • Money tin
  • Bubbles
  • Marbles
  • Fairy lights for room
  • Dinosaur torch
  • Horseshoe magnet
  • Magic Christmas tree (amazon)
  • Books (2nd hand)
  • Photo album (photos from the last year)
  • Paw patrol socks
  • Pants
  • Icing pens for cupcakes
  • Magic flannel
  • Squirty bath foam
  • Dino bath sponge
  • Tube of pringles
  • Happy socks
  • Mini lego kit
  • Dinosaur cookie cutters
  • Dinosaur transforming car
  • Play doh
  • Kellogs variety pack of cereal

Obviously not planning to buy everything, just some ideas I've come up with so far to choose from.

Also guilty of buying the massive sack thatI have to fill! They only get one or two things under the tree though, so everything goes in the sack. Big hits from last year were:

Pop up pirate
Aldi wooden birthday cake
a dinosaur one fleece blanket.Bulky and cheap!

Other ideas:
Backpack
Lunchbox
Cup with twirly straw
Squishmallow
Swimming goggles
Walkie talkies

Mine isn't even 2 yet but I've found some of these things that I'm either giving this year or saving for next:

Bath confetti (Aldi - comes in Cocomelon or Thomas the tank engine theme, and another theme I can't remember!)
Temporary dinosaur tattoos
Water book and pen
In The Night Garden Figures
Paint sticks

For those who have a big sack a better idea than just striving to fill it every year is to pack it out with scrunched up wrapping paper and the gifts hidden amongst the paper. It still looks full but the amount of gifts needed to fill it is much more reasonable and not overwhelming.

As above was going to suggest making it like a lucky dip - either scrunched up paper or if you have a shredder, shredded paper. Makes it somehow more exciting and less gifts needed to fill it.
I think it's also ok to complement with things they are going to need anyway - PJs or character vests/pants/socks.
Sticker & colouring books
Popcorn if you are planning on watching Christmas films.
Dressing up stuff - more than a stocking filler (in our house anyway), but you can put all the presents in there, if you have a 'main present' just leave that one out.

water bottle
swim towel
dressing gown / onesie
slippers or slipper socks
(I'm trying to think of bulky things that would be practical and not too expensive!)

Have a look on The Works. They’ve got their book bundles, which are ten books for £10. Some aren’t that great but most are fantastic and perfect for that age group. They’ve also got lots of little bits which would work for that age.
