@FlibbidyFloob have a look for a Melissa and Doug metal trolley on Facebook/eBay/Vinted. They are so so so good and worth paying more for (though maybe not full price!) I bought one for £40 and sold it on for the same amount 3 years later. It’s got a little seat for soft toys/baby dolls to sit in and pushes so well. Such a great toy!

I can’t remember who was looking for sweets/chocolate for under a pound per person but farmfoods have Terry’s Orange white chocolate bars, 85g for 49p. It says “share size” on them, also toblerone 100g for £1. It was on a leaflet that came through the door today, which also has money off vouchers. There’s £5 off £60 and £9 off £100 and they can be used together to give £14 off £160.

Another vote for this, it has survived DS ramming it into all kitchen units, skirting boards, doors and table legs. It nearly didn’t survive when he ran at full speed with it into the back of DH’s ankles though…

We love the John Lewis Waitrose one! Plus there was 20% off when I bought it as a gift last week.

DD wants a typewriter for Xmas. She is ND and has obsessions that last months. This is her current one. Any ideas where to get this from? I know nothing about them!

@FlibbidyFloob DD has a melissa and Doug one. It's original owner is now 16 and it's still in perfect condition! She loves to take it shopping and has done since she was really little.

Is it the traditional kind? Definitely second hand. But if an electric one is in scope then Rymans sell them.

Both kinds take normal paper (probably a max 100gsm weight, better to get the 80gsm kind though).

They will also need replacement ribbon (ink cartridges) to fit whatever kind you get.

Those that have the Melissa and Doug one - is it big and heavy? The ASDA and John Lewis ones look quite nice and compact, but @Blixems trolley being over a decade and a half old may be swaying me 🥹 don't have a whole lot of boot space so important that I can fit it in along with the shopping!
