Anybody spent Christmas at Center Parcs?
Is it worth the cost?
Still lots to do? (2 adults and 2 children 13 & 16)

I'd imagine there is will be loads to do as they celebrate it big time.

I doubt it's worth the cost though - unless you are loaded. Christmas is fab at home. Go in January or February when it's cheaper and miserable at home!

I haven’t been over Christmas but we often go with family in term time in December. I’d have a look at some of the FB pages for the park you’re considering. I regularly see posts from people who do spend Christmas there and it’s always really positive (although I wouldn’t fancy trying to cook a full roast dinner in that oven!) I know the pool and restaurants are open, but I don’t pay a huge amount of attention. I have a feeling that activities take place every day except the 25th.

The Winter Wonderland is absolutely fantastic and it’s definitely worth going. We took our DN to meet Father Christmas last year and we’re doing the same again this year. You can add on a real tree and decorations to be waiting for you on your arrival and they’re yours to take away with you. It is so pretty all lit up. You get given a letter for the children to write to Santa when you check in and although it’s a very generic reply, it’s nice for the DC. Father Christmas comes round the park on one evening and there’s a tent with various Christmas stories and carol services going on. There’s nothing quite like relaxing on the sofa, a log fire going, fairy lights on and watching the deer eat apples and carrots on the patio. There are lots of videos on You Tube to show you what the parks are like in December.

Sorry, I missed the ages of your DC! 😁 It’s still fantastic though, even if they are too old to believe.

We go every year for Christmas. It is perfect and well worth the money. They make the whole thing one big grotto and there’s loads to do. Meeting Santa. Fireworks. Santa’s farewell on Christmas Eve where you wave him off on his sleigh. It’s gorgeous. I usually cook in the lodge as my kids prefer but one year we did eat out. It was nice. The staff make it very enjoyable. We used to stay at 5 star hotels in London over Christmas due to my work and I would say CP top trumps that in many ways. It’s really special.

Trying to cook in their ovens would put me off too, and the restaurants are okay but I wouldn’t fancy shelling out the eye watering cost of a Christmas Day meal that didn’t blow me away.

We’ve been a weekend or two before Xmas, and are going the day after NY this time. It’s lovely at christmas, outdoor swimming when it’s freezing and dark is the best bit.

We love CP but wouldn’t fork out to stay for actual Christmas, by going in early Jan this is extending our Christmas family time a bit, and something to look forward to once the big day is over.
