Christmas bargain prequel 2023 thread 2 - the one without a side order of chips

Hope everyone is okay with me starting this new thread off. Thread 1 is at 992 so thought best get a new one up and running so we don't miss any bargains.

The prequel threads are kept going through the year in the run up to @reastie taking over for the Christmas bargains threads late summer/autumn.

Just to reiterate there is a decent sale on at Smiggle - there are some nice sets etc but I can’t bring myself to spend £50
on stationery, nor spend £5 on delivery…

my kids would love These spinners and I think the Book of foldy things would be a cute gift too

Anthropologie now has up to 70% off in its sale. There are some reductions in accessories and household items, for example hair clips, glasses and vases, which might be good for presents.

Their clothing goes up to size 26.

WELCOME10 gave me 10% off. I’m not a new customer but I don’t have an account. Click and collect from their stores is free.

That jurassic world baby blue Dino puppet which was £100 at Christmas is down to £50 at Selfridges
this is the lowest I’ve seen it (well it was briefly £49.99 elsewhere), but might hold on to see if it drops lower later in the year…

Actually the Kids sale at Selfridges has some really good prices, lots of brands like Jellycat, Olli Ella, pokemon stuff, clementoni vehicle kits, magic mixies etc etc
I haven’t checked the other departments (there’s beauty/home etc sales as well) but some v good deals in the toys at least

Selfridge’s sale has adult presents, too, with good offers on a couple of gins and of whiskies.

If anyone else has a Boden code they won't use, I'd love it pretty please 🙏

Thank you for the Selfridges tip, DS1 is obsessed with snakes and the remote control one will be an excellent gift for his bday in a few weeks!

Gudrun Sjoden sale seems to have started online. Suitable gifts might be these necklaces reduced from £14 to £4 or these linen scarves reduced from £49 to £14.

(Gudrun Sjoden sales are odd to me as the sale prices quite often increase. There are usually bargains of the day/weekend, but not yet.)

Not reduced, but I like these pretty printed cotton tote bags which are 55cm (21.6”) square and £1:50 each. I couldn’t make them for that. Perhaps not useful for Christmas presents as 2023 is printed on them. I keep several folded in my usual handbag as you can fit a lot of impulse buy shopping in one.

Free postage over £40 to a UPS collection point. Returns cost £7, as they now have to be sent back to Sweden.

A colleague told me she picked up Pop up Pirate from a poundstretcher type shop and it was under £5 so shop around as well. I do appreciate not everyone has access to shops. Thanks all for the top bargains. Gutted to miss the Harvey Nicks beauty box !

Has anyone any bright ideas how I can find Mario and Luigi Lego starter sets cheap? Found them on Selfridge's but they're already out of stock. They're so expensive!

My go to for Lego is to keep a an eye on iwoot or zavvi. I've always got crazy deals on Lego.
Bargain max is one to watch later on year. Sometimes they do 25% off sale.
Plus use to do offers like £20 off £60 spend etc.

Does anyone know if any of the major kids bike retailers do deals, if so roughly when / are they good etc?

DS1 will be 5 in august so want to get him his first real bike for Christmas

I would camel camel camel the Lego mario starter sets. I picked up the mario and Luigi ones last year for about £25 each. Also, check on prime day too.
