I ditched a starter years ago in favour of casual canapés. Some really easy ones to make or buy. Saves on cutlery and crockery.

CountryCatLady · 22/12/2022 10:31

Out for Christmas day lunch, and my mum is covering snacks. Just have Boxing Day dinner to sort out:

Crab meat
Smoked salmon
Beetroot
Dill
Cream cheese
Double cream
Lemon
Gammon joint
Red cabbage
Red potatoes
Brussel sprouts
Chestnuts
Pancetta
Cooking apple
Cheese for dauphinoise

Dried fruits - making clootie dumpling
Suet
SR flour

Drinks covered by parents as well, so don't need to worry about that.

No idea what we are having boxing day lunch. Christmas breakfast is at DPs house, so far I have bought some crolls. Kids will probably want bacon so will just have that this year.

Mine is pen and paper so I can’t copy and paste. Got everything on it this morning but I’ve realised I have nothing for pudding so am checking all your lists for inspiration.
I don’t like Christmas pud or mince pies and I can’t think what we usually have in.
