Thermals- can anyone recommend?

Afternoon all! Can anyone recommend some mens thermals please? I was thinking maybe merino wool ones, but open to any type. My other half’s job involves lots of outdoor time, especially at night, and I’d like to get him some thermals as part of his Christmas. Where we live can be very cold, in the highlands. Thanks 🙏

Marks and Spencer do good ones but not sure if they'll stand up to outside in highlands

I like Uniqlo

Bobbins36 · 15/12/2022 14:31

Uniqlo are great - the Heattech range

uniqlo are great. and they can be washed with a regular wash if they get mucky.

not sure how merino fares in a washing machine.

other sports stores also sell thermo underwear, look at the ski/winterdports section.

Décathlon do ski trousers that you can wear under jeans or other trousers. All the blokes who are on the markets wear them.

I have the womens versions of the Haga and North Bay base layer and they've been really good. They keep you warm but not overly hot and sweaty in the way some thermals do. They wash in the machine fine contra-movement.com/collections/mens-tops

For everyone recommending Uniqlo, does anyone have a link for Mens thermals please? I can’t actually find them on the website? Thanks I’m advance!

Uniqlo - they call it Heat tech I think. I have their ‘ultra’ ones which keep me warm even sitting at my desk all day in my absolutely freezing house

Dilling merino wool from Denmark. They wash well, just need to use wool detergent and dry quite flat.
