Try Hype. I got the exact thing a couple of weeks ago there.

If you do go with Hype, I'd recommend getting at least an age 13, as I have found their sizes to be quite small.

unclebuck · 15/12/2022 10:58

Arrgrggghhh my car was written off last week - someone came through a red light and smashed into me.

For some reason DPD have left my parcel at a shop 11.2 miles away and a very challenging location it would be 2 buses and a 25 minute walk and I am disabled with mobility issues - it is a large parcel. Costco say they cannot do anything I just have to wait for it to be sent back to them and then they will refund within 7 days. This could take up to 28 days. So haven't got DC's main present, I can't get my refund. FFS!! I was in all day and they did not visit - I have CCTV and have even checked that!

Order also missing, Emma Bridgewater, Smashed Grapes, END and Lauden Chocolate all missing :(

Part of my gin order from the shop took ages. Try contacting their Facebook page and this email [email protected]

Took four days to hear back but the gin magically appeared in that time.

I’m kind of glad it’s not just me.
I’ve emailed and nothing. Not impressed :(

TheGirlWhoLived · 15/12/2022 11:07

My Argos code finally came through for marketing!

puppydisaster · 15/12/2022 11:57

I'd urge everyone to look at the latest Trustpilot reviews on Hype which is often recommended here.

I've been waiting for a package since mid November and they aren't responding to queries and there is no phone number. Feels like a company in trouble.

InfinityOrUndefined · 15/12/2022 12:09

My SG order read on RM tracking for over two weeks that they don't have the information just try again tomorrow. Today it reads that they are expecting the order. RM 24h delivery. Hopefully I will get it.

Fuckingfuckssake · 15/12/2022 12:17

Needtostartover · 15/12/2022 12:27

@unclebuck I’m so sorry to hear about your accident. I do hope you are ok/not injured. Is there anyone who could drive you there? Is it an expensive item (is it worth taking a cab?). I hope you can get it sorted.

Pachangas · 15/12/2022 12:27

@Turtleoo @Bongbangbing @IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile thanks so much for the suggestions

@Mince314s - thanks for the link to that tractor - what kind of surface can you ride it on? Does it work on grass? thank you!

mumonthehill · 15/12/2022 12:35

2 parcels with dpd have gone awol. One apparently they tried to deliver but cctv shows they did not. One apparently they did deliver, cctv shows they did not. It’s becoming an odd Christmas game of where’s the parcel!!

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 15/12/2022 13:17

I have a parcel from an etsy seller which is currently stuck in Ukraine. Hasn't moved since Nov 27 according to tracking / and to make matters worse it's then being delivered by Royal Mail!
DD has no chance of getting her Weasley jumper on Christmas morning I fear...

lemonsmum · 15/12/2022 13:33

DAFSAVE gets you a 3rd off design a friend dolls and outfits at argos. Even worked on the ones that were reduced in price.

That's really kind. I have good insurance and 30 years no claims so I hope they sort it all for me. The parcel is such a pain! I am trying to get my son to collect it on the bus! Thanks for being kind

Fluffy winter socks help!

I brought a lovely pair of fluffy white socks in Poundland the other day. I went back today to buy more as gifts, and they've totally sold out. Can anyone recommend where I can get some (cheap) ones.....

IggyAce · 15/12/2022 15:46

I received my Night order took around 10days maybe a little longer, it was delivered by Evri.
Try Primark for fluffy socks.

Adventadventures · 15/12/2022 16:23

I am feeling quite lucky I received my craft gin box at least a week ago (already drank and ate most of it!) and my Night parcel which took about 10 days in total
I am however totally sweating over a Charlotte Tilbury parcel which I ordered 24th November and have received no tracking or anything so don’t even know if it is on its way . I have emailed (expect a reply within 14 days their reply message tells me) and also ringing (they have stopped taking calls temporarily - due to the amount of stressed customers I am guessing) so have no clue if I will ever see my Xmas present and yet they still spam me everyday with offers to buy
On the plus side I think there will be little temptation to twitch this year as online shopping is just way too stressful at the moment

Primark has them for £2 or £3

WWGDD · 15/12/2022 17:51

Has anyone ever been gifted shower steamers and are they any good? I'm wondering about getting some for a friend.

PenguinTattoo · 15/12/2022 17:54

@WWGDD, my MIL added one to a bigger set of gifts this year. I was excited to try it, but it was rubbish, couldn't smell a thing. So maybe only go on recommendations and for someone with an enclosed shower? Ours is a shower attachment in the bath.

WWGDD · 15/12/2022 17:56

Thanks @PenguinTattoo , I did wonder if you'd need an enclosed shower for it to work. I don't know if she has a separate shower. Back to the drawing board.

LemonFrosting · 15/12/2022 18:08

Yep, same experience here with shower steamers.....absolute pants!! I was so excited to use them as well.
