Christmas gift for wealth woman who has everything

looking for a gift suggestion for a wealthy woman in her 40’s who has everything. She can afford to buy herself whatever she wants and often buys designer items. She is so generous to my family but I am stumped what to get her this year. She hates personalised stuff and her perfume taste is £150 a bottle. Loves make up and skincare and candles (but has loads)

also open to it being a family gift to her household (2,adults and 2young adults)

Maybe some really nice chutney also?

I have a relative like this. I go for luxury versions of everyday items. The most appreciated was cashmere bed socks. Surely even rich people wouldn't waste money on such frippery, yet they are a delightful gift. Have also bought a Diptyque candle, Laduree macarons with Angelique hot chocolate, Jo Malone body wash.

I think experiences are much better than gifts for the person who has everything and can afford to buy whatever they want. Could you organise a meal out for you both, a theatre trip, or get a voucher to use at a local spa for a massage / manicure etc? If you want it to be for the whole family then a voucher for afternoon tea or something like that that she might not think to treat herself to?

When will you be giving it to her? A beautiful Christmas wreath?

Well the Royal Family give each other joke gifts!

Coffee subscription
tea subscription
magazine subscription
cheese subscription
plant subscription

(depending on budget)

What’s your budget? I bought my ‘has everything’ friend a Solawave

It was about £129 iirc, but they were doing bogof, so in my warped mind, it cost me only half.

I would not class myself as wealthy but I am fortunate that I can afford to buy myself things when I want them, which makes me difficult to buy for.
I don't eat cheese and wouldn't want flowers as I have nowhere to put them when the decorations are up, but I would appreciate a bottle of Prosecco (not expensive), bars of proper soap always get used, I love candles and don't often buy them for myself, a magazine subscription and I have asked for some Penhaligan's hand wash - as it smells divine. (£38)

Batshittery · 06/12/2022 16:11

*Penhaligon's that should say Blush

Is there a charitable cause she supports?

I'm not clear on her relationship with you ... would she enjoy something with photos of your family?

MillyMollyManky · 06/12/2022 16:27

Doesn't everyone have a house full of cheese at Christmas anyway? I don't think I'd like to be given more.

I'm a bit like your recipient, OP, and I'd like a candle- either a nice scented one eg Diptyque or plain handmade beeswax or a box of soap from Ortigia. If someone has lots of something, it's because they like it! I'd go with that rather than trying to think of something unusual.
