Can someone recommend a first Hotwheels track for a 6yo?

Or am I better at look at scelextric (spelling) type track?

Hot wheels has much more play value. We have both and scalterix is pretty dull.

the hot wheels track builder sets are good.

We had two big Hot Wheels sets and tbh I wouldn’t recommend them. They look great but we had constant problems with cars flying off the tracks/falling off at the slightest thing. We spent more time adjusting the tracks and connectors than actually getting much play out of it. DS got completely fed up with it.

I don’t know anything about Scaletrix but know that I would not recommend Hot Wheels at all (unless you got a cheap
box of it off Marketplace to give it a go) - I would not pay £££ for it again.

The Hot Wheels race crate. Easy to put together, easy to pack away again. My two have had hours of fun doing various races and 'tournaments' with it. Definitely worth the money!

Hot wheels are brilliant, there are some great Black Friday deals out there on them at the moment if you are buying new.

My son loves Hot Wheels and has the track builder as well as the Ultimate Garage, car wash and a load of others. It’s the only thing he’s played with consistently since he was 2.5 years old and he’s almost 5 now. Amazon has a few good deals on and Aldi has some on their special buys this week. I’m sure it will get played with a lot.

We have found scaletrix to be total junk. The kids loved the idea of hotwheels, but I find it frustrating. It never seems to work as well the second time you build it.

I have bought from Speed Track UK for my 5yo for xmas, after a recommendation (possibly advertising) on here. It looks much easier for him to construct his own track, and rolls up neat. I've not tried it though.
