I’m absolutely stumped what to get my just turned 11 DS for Christmas. I’ve got his stocking sorted but otherwise no ideas. He can’t think of anything, and no he’s not spoilt. He’s really into gaming but bought himself a gaming laptop with some money he got early last year and has all the accessories he needs for it. He hasn’t asked for any games for it, isn’t into clothes, likes sports but doesn’t need any equipment at the minute.

any ideas?

What about a voucher towards any computer games etc. he'd like to buy in the future, a book about coding in Scratch or Python, other books that he might like, some Lego, a jigsaw, some merch (e.g. a Pokémon / similar t-shirt that you might not buy otherwise).

I just try to buy DS a range of gifts, and he loves it. If it was down to him, he'd only get Lego, but he really appreciates all of the different things on the day 😄.

I also try to buy DS something that he'll keep in the future - so maybe a wallet / Swiss Army knife / a tool for his tool box etc. 😄.

*DS is slightly older though, I appreciate that you might not want to buy a Swiss Army knife.

Thanks, he has quite a few coding books and doesn’t build Lego anymore unfortunately. He’s like a middle aged man in his interests. The Swiss army is a really good idea, he loves survival type stuff.

Oh, great.

I've also got this for DS, it's a knot skills kit:

It's probably me that wants to learn to tie different knots really!

I have gotten ds11 a Alexa, computer chair, and some nerf guns and Lego.

11 is a hard age!

My ds has requested Lego & funko pops. How about a young driver experience, do you have a VR gaming place close by? Could get a voucher for a trip there.

Our 9yo is desperate for a pen knife and a fire steel. Both are being used as incentives to get through his year of 11+ preparation so he has to wait nearly another year for them. But your boy might like both. Also his older sibling received a little cycle tools set that looks a bit like a pen knife at the same age and that was useful too.

Maybe something like the BBC microbit or the raspberry pi that he can code with?

Oh gosh, my DH allowed our 6 yr old to buy a Swiss Army knife a few years ago. I thought he was mad! But she’s very competent and sensible so I reluctantly let it slide. But she’s used it so much! She takes it camping when she wild camps with her dad. I was muttering about where’s the bottle opener the other day and she came running with it. Uses it on the farm doing jobs etc. surprisingly handy thing for a kid.

Does he have a computer chair? My DS has a rocker one with built in speakers and lights.

Cuddle cushion

Cool bedding for his room.

Cool picture - I've brought a print of fav footy team and framed.

Archery set

Board game

Aftershave - can get sporty brands so not too grown up.

Novelty slippers

Onesie or oodie

New school backpack

Branded coat you wouldn't normally buy

Table football

Laser X

Money safe

Trainers

I’m thinking a computer chair, he uses a really comfy stool (sound awful but it is comfortable and you have to sit with good posture) but I’m sure he’d love a fancy computer chair.
