So she's just started to ask to borrow my stuff and boot's no 7 is three for two at the moment.

  1. lipstick, pale ( she's honey blonde) x2
  2. light Rosey blusher
  3. Rimmel concealers, not sure which colour I use honey 103 she's lighter
  4. eye shadow palette? Not sure which colours...
  5. hair wrap for after shower.
  6. hair spray

Anything for hair we are quite unadventurous!

Anything else?

Also is rococo's chocolate worth the ££

I think you need to encourage her get into the routine of taking the makeup off - so eye makeup remover, cleanser, toner, and moisturiser. I'm sure others are better placed than I am to advise on actual products.

Primer for the skin ?

eyeliner

lip gloss

highlighter/contour kit

mascaras (dark brown is lovely with blue eyes)

Just to add if you google what colours look good with her colour eyes it should come up with suggestions for an eyeshadow palette

Thefailinghousewife · 13/11/2022 11:23

Was about to say skin care and mascara were what first sprang to mind.

Mac is a popular brand with my 15 year old (her big sister uses it) and Fenty lip glosses (Rihanna’s brand)

Lot's of good ideas already.

I'm near about skin care because she's got acne,it's not very bad and she has a prescribed cream but her skin is dry on her forehead and greasy on her nose .

Btw she has black heads we can't get out, tried squeeze, pore strips, hot flannel and those metal things you put over the spot.

V good idea about makeup remover stuff and I hadn't thought about brown mascara which would also look a little more natural.

What age for eye brows plucking?

I think 15 is fine for brow shaping - it depends on her natural shape. I’d take her to have them done though, unless it’s just a couple of strays.

Mascara, maybe eye liner, and a little makeup bag to put it all in

AbsolutelyNebulous · 13/11/2022 11:59

Getting things like concealer or foundation right for someone else can be difficult so I’d buy eyeshadow palette, mascara, lipglosses as a gift but would consider a voucher for eg Boots so she can test different brands/shades/textures before she buys.

Of she’s just getting into makeup she probably doesn’t have “tools” so I’d buy a set of makeup brushes. Real Techniques are very popular and excellent for the price (and there are always offers on so Google). If she’s going to be wearing concealer/foundation buy her some sponge applicators too and again the RT ones are very good.

The sausage,

I'd definitely take her to professional!

Absolutely, very good point about tools!

I'm hoping she stays quite natural at the moment rather than karasdhian style contour 😂

I work in a school and some kids have it done in year 7 so it all depends on what your personally comfortable with … with regards to eyebrow threading

maybe a voucher for a make up lesson would be worth a look into !? I would love one and I’m much older than 15 - maybe it’s something nice you can both do together !?
