Looking for a lego mat so my son can poor put lego onto it and play without blocks disappearing, the only ones I can find are amazon and ebay drawstring bags that open up on a circle they have mixed reviews so my question is is there a branded version or one anyone can recommend?

I found a permanent tuff tray worked better as the sides keep it in and it gives a more stable base for building. But after 4-5 it's best just to admit defeat and get some tough soled slippers.

Ooh that's a idea I could look into, he could use it for his playmobil bits ect too! Just trying to make life easier he's 4 and got a baby due after Christmas so I'm hoping for some independent play when I'm otherwise busy. Fan idea thanks!

We have ummed and ah about the draw string things, in the end we have been trying to train our son to clear it away after use. He's only turned 3 so it's mixed results yet!
We bought one of those drawer chests like they have in primary school where the trays all come out, then each one has one colour. So easy to shove in the chest, but not just totally mixed up. The only issue is when he leans on the side and flips out across the room.
Hope that's useful, good luck!

I mean when the whole tray flips sideways and pings the Lego across the room.

We used to use a cement mixing tray (new one, obviously!) then pushed it under a cabinet when not in use.

Another vote for a tuff tray. Worked brilliantly when they were small
