No real hobbies.
Likes make up, nails & clothes. Likes food & chocolate too. 🙄
Doesn't need any new tech.
They get harder to buy for as they get older!
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

I agree! My DD is the same, no hobbies either. Although she likes murder mysteries so I’ve got her a ticket to see an Agatha Christie play (with me) in February.

Plus a fleecy blanket/pjs/hot choc set, small travel jewellery case and necklace and Greggs/Primark vouchers. I’ll probably give her cash too.

Stocking fillers include:
razors, heat protection hair stuff, micellar water and cotton pads, noodles, chocolate, puzzle book, hair mask, playing cards, pens and a mini pudding (salted caramel from Tesco)!

Hope this helps?!

Folliat · 21/10/2022 22:21

I was also thinking of buying a cheap stylus pen for her iPad too - there’s loads on Amazon for around £20 but reviews are hit and miss.

Folliat · 21/10/2022 22:28

past presents have included: an Oodie (fake), hair straighteners, curling wand, and body shop toiletries gift set (that wasn’t particularly popular but I was stuck).

I don’t buy clothes, other than lounge wear (always joggers).

What's your budget? You can get DIY gel nail lamps pretty reasonably (although maybe no good if she's not allowed nail varnish at school, a bit of a faff and a waste having to remove gel nails before school)

Regular nail varnish, base and top coat.
A good nail file
Lipgloss
A makeup lesson
Skincare stuff (cleanser, toner, moisturiser)

Clothes (although they can be quite particular about what they like!!)

Gloves. scarf, bobble hat

Jewellery (my DD finds some lovely stuff in Primark!)

Hair accessories

Purse, handbag, rucksack

Books

Thank you cards (if other people buy her presents)

If she likes food, does she cook? You could buy a cook book for her favourite type of food and associated equipment/key herbs/spices etc

Something to kick start a hobby eg. Card making or scrapbooking kit; or baking maybe?

Beautifulsunflowers · 21/10/2022 22:32

Perfume
tickets to a show or event
voucher for afternoon tea
Baking stuff
new pjs
fleece/oodie/blanket

Thinking back to what my dd had last year

casetify phone case (but no idea if still an ‘in’ thing or not)
joggers - always bloody joggers
perfume
makeup brushes
gel nail lamp (le mini macron were popular with her and her friends as they are portable so could repair a broken nail anywhere😁)
fluffy socks
heatless curlers - I ended up over paying and realised for a few quid places like shein sell the same thing - the ones that look like a satin padded thing
chocolates and sour patch kids sweets - lots
she didn’t mind me buying her clothes as long as it was just cami type tops from places like PLT or Bershka or the aforementioned joggers

Bubble tea kit, oodie, nice pyjamas - Chelsea peers is popular with teens , beauty box subscription, Japanese candy box, touch screen gloves. Smores kit, things for her room like a Hollywood bulb mirror? Flat lay co giant scrunching and lay flat make up bag. MAC makeup holiday gift set, air up bottle.

Stocking fillers Im doing my teen lots of Christmas choc/sweets, LUSH products, fake nails, festive earrings, scrunching, anime metal pins, mood necklace, hot chocolate stirrer, snowball fight soft snowballs, maybe gift cards too

snowmanshoes · 21/10/2022 23:15

Agree very hard to buy for and mine isn't into make-up or nailes.

I'm going to go for some ideas on this list but I'm thinking of a silk pillow case.
( I saw one in a cute little box to max).
Special bending hair tangle brush.
A towel for hair? Wrap thing?

Chocolate orange, coins, chocolate maybe some lush stuff.
It's hard!

NoWeaponsOnTheTable · 22/10/2022 07:12

Books
Joggers
Fluffy socks
Skincare
Perfume
That's as far as I got!

BuryingAcorns · 22/10/2022 07:12

Stocking ideas are pretty easy if she likes make up: some nice make up brushes, a lip gloss, nail polish, an eye palette in colurs she likes, one of those towelling headbands that keeps your hair out of the way while you apply it; a hair turban to fast dry your hair, maybe some slouchy socks for wearing around the house.

imnotthatkindofmum · 22/10/2022 07:38

I bought my dd a book she's been desperate for. I had to get it from the US so £40! And 🤞🏻it actually arrives. Stocking fillers for us are usually a few quid so the rest of her stocking will be art supplies, fluffy socks, a fancyish hair product, phone case, nice lip balm etc

Oh2beatsea · 23/10/2022 07:44

Thank you. Yes a silk pillow case & that hair curling thing are presents I'd not thought of.

I’ve got mine perfume ( “Perfect” by Marc Jacobs,) a Calvin Klein knickers and bralette set, Morphe makeup, Snow fairy stuff from Lush, Some Victoria Secret stuff, a personality test game and other random bits like lashes, pens, a tool for removing hair from your hairbrush (bit of an in joke between us!) and a geode which she gets every year in her stocking!
We’ll have a shopping trip before Christmas where she’ll choose clothes etc that she’d like.

GettingStuffed · 23/10/2022 11:01

Make up subscription, one of the main ones, possibly glossy box do one for teenagers

Bogglebrain · 23/10/2022 11:51

I bought my DD a satin pillow case set last year - had eye mask, hair bands as well. Machine washable too!

I’ve just spent an obscene amount (for me!) on a Dior gift set for my DD15 - contains a pouch, lip gloss, lip balm, face cream and mini Miss Dior. It’s be gift wrapped too and I could chose 2 free samples. It’s more than I’d usually spend (£65) but I think she’ll love it.

Other teen DD has some nail sets, files, remover etc from Nails Inc. she doesn’t wear make up but likes doing her nails.

I bought a Kitsch set from one of the online beauty stores - there’s a few colours to choose from.

Londoncatshed · 26/10/2022 22:40

Similar to @Bogglebrain also bought a Dior gift set but the lip kit one for £59! Gulp. Got two free sample perfumes which will go in stocking.Trying not to buy any filler gifts and I could easily spend that much on bits.
