Ideas for crackers

Looking for ideas of non expensive items to put in homemade crackers.

I can only think of chocolate or a mini shower gel or lip balm.

Can anyone inspire me with something more unusual. Various age ranges from ten to 80's. Mainly female but not solely.

My mum does these and we love them! She normally does a chocolate mouse, a scratch card and then a little gift- Clinique lip crayon/ keyring/seeds/earrings. The boys have had bottle openers/credit card tool/hand cream.

I went to Tesco earlier and for £15 they had a set of 4 flavoured Tanqurey gins which were plastic rather than glass. Every year I look for plastic miniatures and have never been able to find them so I’ll definitely be using those for some of our guests.
I’ve also done the mini tubs of hand cream from Body Shop which went down well and novelty socks for men.

I’ve previously done
nail varnish
earrings
lip balm
hand cream
flower seeds
shower gel
bottle openers
miniatures of whiskey/brandy/Baileys
pillow sprays
hair slides/ties-kids
always put a scratch card in for adults and a chocolate in everyones

A £5 note went down well with a ten year old who was convinced his cracker was empty.

Key ring
Lego figure
Tape measure
Mini emery boards
Nail varnish
Christmas earrings
Lipstick case

Depending on budget, individual Lego mini figures were a big hit.

I’ve also done Christmas decorations (small shatterproof one inside the cracker, and one year a nicer breakable one that was on their place setting and just the joke/hat in the cracker. That was for adults only though - children might be a bit miffed?

Mascara wand
Champagne stopper

Thank you some great ideas. Smile

Fire striker went down well once, as did bacon lip balm.

I used to put something like a Sylvanian baby in for my dc to have something to play with at the table.

I got some magic trick crackers a few years ago which were well received, so I was thinking about some little magic tricks to fill the ones I've got this year.

Lottery scratch cards - we used them for the first time a couple of years ago and they went down well

Hot chocolate sachets or stirrers, although with the latter, you need to check the length of the stick.
You can get lots of different flavours, including boozy ones for adults
