Ideas for a couple - aged 30

Am stumped! It's a joint present for DN and her DH. A token gift really. They have a lovely house, plenty of money, eat out a lot so don't want to get them vouchers for eating out as it's just their norm and my budget wouldn't stretch!I don't know what to get them. I normally get them a nice candle (she loves candles, fairy lights etc), last year it was a set of glasses they wanted. This year I have no clue. She drinks prosecco or gin, he drinks beer. They live at the opposite end of the country so fresh stuff is out.
Budget is £20 max but would prefer to spend less if possible as really skint this year! Any ideas gratefully received.

Something edible perhaps? Or drinkable. I'm having the same dilemma for my brother and his girlfriend, it's harder buying for a couple!

I know, it is f so much harder! I feel with drinks they'd end up with a bottle of Prosecco and some beer 😂 Might go down the edible route and get some treats.

I have nice double walled coffee glasses. Like this - but I got mine much more cheaply from Amazon. My adult dc(27) really likes them

If they like eating out a lot how about a restaurant cookbook - Wagamama’s/gordon Ramsay etc quite a lot do them? X

Me and my husband sound very similar (early 30s, eat out regularly, no kids) and our favourite gift is a little food hamper with posh crisps, biscuits, treats etc from a local deli/farm shop that we wouldn’t routinely buy.

I'd send some Lola's brownies , they are delicious.

I also really like previous suggestions of a board game or recipe book if they're into that sort of thing.

Nothing wrong with beer and Prosecco, at least you know they'd be enjoyed. You could make a mini hamper with posh snacks and chocolates as well as the drinks.

What about a Christmas platter of Christmas decoration of some kind. Years ago my SIL got be a lovely Xmas dish - of course I only use it in Dec but I put Xmas sweets in it every year and it's part of my decorations each year.

I got a lovely winter themed platter for myself from tk max last year ... was robins and Holly so feel it's ok to use for bit longer than just Xmas!

Cinema vouchers? We are a similar ish demographic (less affluent though, not a fancy house) and received that as a gift and liked it.

Were also the ‘target market’ and would also love a hamper of ‘nice’ things we wouldn’t normally buy.

Also weirdly would like something like socks, basically an upgrade on stuff that would actually be used.

we would hate things like a body lotion gift set, or anything twee that just sits around the house (e.g. ornaments)

I would but my SIL would start WW3!! For the sake of peace and harmony for my DB and parents I just go with it!

Things I would appreciate:
Cinema/theatre vouchers
A bottle of something interesting ( I got a light up bottle of liqueur last year from m&s like a snow globe and loved it! )

If they have a garden send wildflower seeds,or culinary herb seeds they can grow in pots on windowsill

I would go for a card game like Exploding Kittens, or a date night hamper with one of those scratch off "100 dates" or similar around their interests in it.

Please no personalised gifts unless you really know that it will fit in their house.

I would go for a really nice bottle of sparkling English wine.

I did a movie night hamper for my nephew and his partner a few years ago …a cheap basket filled with popcorn, chocolate, sweets, hot chocolate, 2 mugs, marshmallows etc and found a DVD of one of their favourite films on Amazon for about £3! Filled the basket with shredded paper, put the goodies in and wrapped in cellophane. Came to much less than £20. Looked beautiful and they loved it 🙂

Some great ideas thanks - not just for them but fur others too! Think I'll put a wee treat hamper together for them, just as a wee minding.

I dont think anyone has a dvd player any longer?
