Is there elderly person version of a Tonie’s box I can get for my relative who has just gone into a home? As easy for them to use as possible? Thanks

Yes it's called a CD or cassette player 😂

But really, my 97 year old grandmother has dementia and can use a simple CD player. She knows the play/pause button and can put cds in.

Library membership often gives access to free audio books on borrowbox. All you’d need is something they could play it on.
Or an echo dot and an audible subscription.

I’m looking for something much more straightforward - just load up and go.

That is such a good idea and if there isn’t one there should be!

I wonder if you can get adult Yoto cards for the Yoto player? I know you can get slightly more grown up ones like Diary of a Wimpy kid, so maybe?

Would an Alexa do the job? Then it's voice activated rather than having to use buttons.

I would get a Yoto player. The full size rather than the mini. If the recipient has wifi in their room, they can listen to radio and podcasts on it. You can put any content you want onto Make Your Own cards. Very easy to use.

I have a referral code for 10% off if you want it.

(I've borrowed audiobooks from BorrowBox and put them on a MYO Yoto card.)

A Toniebox could work. You could download things your relative likes onto the Creative Tonie figures.

That looks great - thank you 😊

For a relative with learning disabilities we got a basic CD player and added a green sticker for play and red for stop. As long as someone made sure there was always a CD inside it worked fine.
