Recommendations for a tween bullet journal or something to use Copic markers on?

I’ve bought DD13 some copic markers for Christmas and I’d like to get her a diary or an art type journal to use them in.

Any suggestions for a nice, tween style one? Or suggestions for what else I could get to go with them? (Colouring books , papers etc) .

Are these similar to Posca pens? If so I’ve got my dd a plain black pen pot for her to design on (original lol), plain phone case, and pencil case so far. I’ve also been looking at combination lock notebooks but I think that will be better for ‘normal pens’

Copics are alcohol-based and unless she uses special marker paper, they will inevitably bleed through and she’ll have maker bleed on the back, and if she’s not careful they’ll be marker bleed on the next page too. It’s just the nature of the beast. I’ve found that the Archer and Olive journals take alcohol markers the best. The paper doesn't soak up the ink immediately, which allows you enough time to blend the colors together.
Alcohol markers aren’t really meant for bullet journaling because they feather, fuzz, and seep so much that they don’t make for very crisp clean lettering – at least, not if you try to actually write the lettering with them (you can get some pretty interesting gradients in fauxligraphy by coloring in the downstrokes with alcohol markers, though).

Sorry, to answer your last question about what you could get instead, there are some pads sold on the Copic site.

Windsor newton do a good bleed proof marker paper, or Strathmore marker paper is good too. I agree with a pp that you need very specialist papers to use with them- standard colouring books/ bullet journals won't be any good for them, as they will bleed through the pages.

I've got my dds Ottergami bullet journals, which have nice designs and I think they will like. I can't advise on the Coptics as I went for cheaper pens!
