Sorry if it's already been done, couldn't see anything.

What are we thinking this year?

DS has 2 teachers this year plus 3 TAs
DD has 1 teacher and 1 TA

So that's potentially 7 gifts!

No one does a class collection and I aren't about to volunteer! 😂

In previous years I've done £5 Costa vouchers for the teachers and a tin of bics/chocs for the staff room as a joint thing for TAs so might do similar, although not sure what you'd get for a fiver in Costa these days!

I would give them all the same thing. When you’re just doing a token gift of appreciation it’s not very nice to be so divisive amongst a staff team. A card Is enough, but you could just give them all a small chocolate.

I've never spent my own money on glue sticks or white board pens so wouldn't really appreciate them. Our PTA gives us money to buy a class gift of books/games.

I usually regift scented candles or toiletries with a smell I'm not keen on. Ì actually like getting a mug if it's not a teacher one. Favourite thing to receive is a voucher or something with my name on. Most teachers enjoy a present but don't expect them. Secondary school teachers rarely get anything.

Stuff I give:
mini prosecco or single serve g&t with savory nibbles.
Insulated cup (the waitrose ones are quite cheap) with a handful of celebrations inside.
Big tin of Christmas biscuits to share.
Nice bar of soap (tkmaxx) nicely wrapped.
If budget is smaller a chocolate orange or box of malteasers with a homemade card.

Cards are nice and if a card has a really appreciative message inside I will keep it for a couple of years but I realistically can't keep all the cards I get as there would be boxes full by now. It's bad enough with my own children's cards!!

I am just giving a box of nice biscuits or chocs for each this year. Money is too tight.

I am also a teacher (secondary) and don't expect or usually receive anything. When I do it is very appreciated, but definitely not expected. I think consumables are the way to go if someone does want to get a gift.

One thing I do often get and love getting is a card! Always so sweet to be thought of.

Coffee/coffee vouchers or chocolates are the best options imo, if you absolutely HAVE to do something. If you want to get more creative, could be wall academic calendars with slightly different designs.

A card is enough! Put your own family first and take care of yourselves

In the past, I've put together a box of hot chocolate and biscuits and posh coffee mixes for the staff room - I have some fun with the wrapping paper (silly Xmas pictures of my kids), but just use a well wrapped old Amazon box.
