My son loves it. We also bought extra bugs from Amazon.

Voiceofreason92 · 26/09/2022 00:07

we have it too. Its an ok game, my 7 , 5 and 3 year olds like it. 9 might be a bit old

purpleme12 · 26/09/2022 00:09

Ah right ok.
I mean to be fair she still enjoys the younger games we have eg junior monopy, junior labyrinth etc etc.
But interesting to hear. Will have a rethink

We have it, my daughter is 10 and still enjoys it. She also still likes the junior games, the odd orchard toys game, jenga and dobble junior (and the regular one!).

Just get the regular one not the loop one, that was rubbish!

clearopalite · 26/09/2022 22:57

My 9yo enjoys it. It’s simple and quick to play.

purpleme12 · 26/09/2022 22:59

Ok thank you might be worth it still then.
@BadgerLovesMash yes mine still likes The Ladybird Game and Shopping List!

It’s great fun. My 12 year old just dug it out last weekend and we had a good play with it!

rumbypumby · 26/09/2022 23:30

Its good but make sure you buy spare batteries for the bugs because they run out really quickly.

purpleme12 · 26/09/2022 23:43

Ok thank you

My 9 year old still plays it, but much less now. If she like Junior Labyrinth, the normal Labyrinth might be a better call. My 9 and 7 year olds play that far more often now.

ChristmasCwtch · 27/09/2022 08:12

My 2 (ages 7 & 4.5) occasionally play with Bugs in the Kitchen. It isn’t a favourite game though. They love Mouse Trap and Frustration, as well as Screwball Scramble.

I looked at the normal labyrinth but it in looked exactly the same as junior?

Most 'adult' board games ( the ones without specifically adult content) are for 8+, so if she already loves games she'll quickly pick up Carcassone, for example.
At about that age backgammon and chess are challenging but really satisfying to play.

TheFeistyFeminist · 27/09/2022 09:34

We stopped playing bugs in the kitchen around 8 or 9 years old, so it might not be the best choice for your child now. Labyrinth and Monopoly still get played from time to time.
