DD had Barbie dress up shoes from Father Christmas - I am against them, but she loves them so much when at friends I gave in. She slipped over a gazliion times and then they broke on Boxing Day.

DS had FisherPrice Little People Garage as main present, we a have loads of other stuff from this range and I thought it would be compatible...NO. The only cars that fit and work with it are the two that came with it, one of which is still too light to make it all the way down the ramp.

DD bought the Barbie Tika elephant with her Woolies vouchers from GM. As it was 1/2 price in the sale I did'nt mind despite the house just being filled with toys from Christmas. Glad she did'nt pay £30 for it though as all it does is whirl it's trunk round and pick up the two dolls it comes with - not even musical . But having said that she, despite my feelings she does love it and plays with is quite a lot.

Sorry if this has already been done, I searched for a simialr thread, but did;nt find one.

Charlee - we went through the bubble mix that came with it in about 5 minutes - we have been trying to make our own with washing up liquid but we keep getting the amounts wrong and Thomas just froths from his funnel and down his face like a rabid dog

Don't get me wrong - it is DS's favourite present (ever I think!) it is infuriating that we have to take the batteries out when he is not using it.

Charlee - Lidl have something similar to the cude this week for £9.99. Their stuff is never shodily built.

I bought DS the musical Thomas you put the disks in the top.

The disks don't work, and i had to stick some bluetac to the button the lid is supposed to push down when it shuts to make it go.

Then DS managed to break the catch on the lid, so every time it gets knocked the lid pops off.

After an hour of him insisting the music played, and screeching everytime we turned it off, it got disappeared i haven't given him it back yet.

DD got baby Ella from Woolies, which is an 18" doll. I got some clothes for it from ToysRUs, but it is so mishapen where it has been over stuffed, and the fabric of the soft body is white, not flesh, that despite her asking for a baby doll for motnhs she has hardly played with it, because the clothes reveal the white bits

However I have had to phone Fisher-Price Mattell over 3 different toys this Christmas and each time they have been brilliant. Sending out bits etc, at no charge and getting me technical support call-backs.

Hats off to them!
