Right then guys what do I buy 2 men that I very rarely see but they are coming down on New Years Day and they always make a real consertive effort for my DDs?

One still lives with my Grandmother who is in her late 80's. The other I think is gay, lives on his own, is in his 50's fat and most times rather smelly (in fact they are both in their 50's.

No matter what I have bought in the past you are never really sure if its what they want! oh, please beam me up Scotty!

I would get them something from the children (let them choose) and a photograph of your dd's

Quattrocento · 27/12/2007 22:17

Maybe you meant concerted?

They do not really drink, maybe a half of bitter every now and then, but thats it.

A concerted effort it is - bottle of champagne.

ahundredtimes · 27/12/2007 22:19

Oh they don't drink?

Is this something for them to share?

chocolatespiders · 27/12/2007 22:19

book lite from boots was £5.00 now £2.50

i love mine

pinkbubble · 27/12/2007 22:20

Unfortunately no, one lives about 200 miles away from the other.

Unfortunately I don't think they are into reading - Chocolate.

To be honest and not rude to them, they are blardy hard to buy for! They don't seem to be interested in anything.

I did ask what they wanted and they said they didn't know, whether this was out of embarrassment I am not sure.

I did think of buying them a gift voucher, but would not know where to buy it from, them also I would feel guilty as they spend x amount on DDs and I only spend a tenner! (like to get them something in the sale)

Maybe a music voucher! That maybe an option, think both of them are into Country and Western!

get them some half price toiletries then they wont be so smelly....

do they like gardening? something for car?

pinkbubble · 27/12/2007 22:29

One does like his garden and he grows all his Veg. They both do drive, but in the past I have bought things for both garden and car, and I do try and change the topic every now and then!

Oxfam Unwrapped, they sound like they are generous to your children so may appreciate the thought. (?)

pinkbubble · 27/12/2007 22:32

Also the elder Uncle always wears really bright (and I mean bright shirts - as in orange/yellow) But I would feel to embarrassed to buy one for him as he is rather large (and he really stinks too!) Poor thing as he does have a heart of gold, and it is so sweet that he buys my DDs anything as he only sees them once a year.
