Not talking about a starving toddler here, but my mum's "friend" [in a relationship for about 10 years], who is 63 and in possession of most faculties and who had scoffed half a dozen mince pies not an hour before.

DH and I were just doing a few bits to the main course when "friend" sat down and started eating the starter before we even made it into the dining room!

How rude. That is one of my pet hates. I hope you gave her the 'evils' when you came in.

Sort of thought it was funny in a way - last year he made himself a slice of toast whilst we were making the gravy - but it is rude isn't it?

YANBU. What a rude man!

Yes did you give him evil looks when you went into the dining room?

Calcifer · 25/12/2007 20:45

Kind of behaviour I might excuse in a teenage brother but not anyone not in your immediate family!
