what's left on your to-do list ladies? what's on your done list?

in some respects I might be ahead - because we have Christmas dinner tomorrow. but I love lists. even other peoples.

my done list:

• red cabbage is braised
• parsnips are par-boiled and coated in parmesan and flour as per Delia
• everything that needs to be is out of the freezer, including the stuffing and the chestnut loaf that I made about 2 weeks ago.
• mince pies have been done for eons

my to do list:

• update my to-do list (I told you I liked lists)
• update my last minute shopping list
• ice cake (will probably get that done tonight)
• make some bruschetta (hopefully also tonight)
• poach some pears
• put cards up
• do some decorations - candles and baubles "artistically" thrown into glass bowls and vases
• pick meat up from butchers
• boil bones for stock
• mull wine
• wrap presents

To do:

collect meat from M&S 9and cheeses / profiteroles- I ahte profiteroles but Dad loves them)

sweep and wash floors

bath kids, dress and face them towards direction of Wii which they get tomorrow to save taking down in the car

call Green Flfg for some info

possibly pick up a bike helmet as went to get ds3's (he has skates in his presents) and it is damaged- will see if Mum keeps one there for my cousins first

return, attemot to beautify, fail (! ) then go to drop gifts at two friends on way to parents house

All I have left to do is wrap three presents, have a shower and go out for dinner.

Go to crib service at church, then come home & dish up beuf bourgignon. DH will concoct and serve mulled wine. French apple tart to follow.

Done:

laundry
ironing
pub lunch with dh sans les filles

Dh: charged up the battery on my car

Done everything, including peeled and chopped veg!

Just have to wait for kids in bed then 'set the scene' its ds's first year that he really gets whats going on so we wont to make the morning reveal really special!

Will make Pavlova tomorrow.

Turkey is stuffed withe the sage and thyme lemon butter i made earlier and bunged in some onions lemons and herbs wrapped in bacon anf tin foiled the legs will cook tonight as its to big to go in the oven with the rest of the food.

Got to boil Gammon now.........
