I think it might look like dandruff if you put it on sausages [vomit].

Looks fab on cakes - particularly girlie, princessy, castely, fairy, ones .

fishie · 20/12/2007 12:31

ooh you have reminded me, i had a cake with something nice on, much better than glitter. it didn't taste of anything. i think it must have been sprayed on, will go and look.

OhLITTLEFISHofBethlehem · 20/12/2007 12:31

castley (probably, although as it's made up anyway, and this is Cod's thread, it really doesn't matter)

JackieNoel · 20/12/2007 12:31

Oh - when you said sparkly sausages I thought of what happened after it had passed through your digestive system.

I would think it was a signal to leave. It this what you want?

AwayInAMunker · 20/12/2007 12:35

I would like hot choc with whipped cream. I thought you said with hard nuts and I would not like that at all, but for hard nuts, yes, that's fine.

Glad you won't be teaching typing I can see you'd be a good teacher though. Excellent, in fact.

fishie · 20/12/2007 12:37

lustre dust very hard to find if you don't know what it is called.

you could put some rum in the hot choc, i'd like that.

ChristmasSendsMePsycho · 20/12/2007 12:37

I had a cake at the weekend with edible glitter. not aware of any 'wrong' taste, but no idea of the actual taste as it was on icing (was a sparkly glittery butterfly cake made for my daughters show as all three were in a show called 'butterfly shoes').

sooooooooooo....sparkly glitter only is good on icing, not sausages

ChristmasSendsMePsycho · 20/12/2007 12:38

grrrr at the fast moving thread!!!!

ODD for the hot choc Q!

HuwEdwards · 20/12/2007 12:43

agree with psycho - glitter ok on sweet stuff, but not bangers

JackieNoel · 20/12/2007 12:46

(is it really just me who's wondering about the possibility of glittery poo, if it just passes through you?)

AwayInAMunker · 20/12/2007 12:47

Talk about gilding the turd.

Cod - were you not born to be a personal shopper?

TheHollyandtheOliviaMumsnet · 20/12/2007 12:51

They have cakes with edible glitter on them at Konditor and Cook my fave cake shop (and Nigella's!)

But my god it's £££££ there.

Tastes of birthdays imho

End of party - I'd rather have a bacon sarnie than a hot choc

AwayInAMunker · 20/12/2007 12:53

Konditor and Cook

Magrat · 20/12/2007 12:54

why, in the name of all that is good and holy, why would anybody consider glittery sausages? ...
