Beautiful wrapping and table decor suggestions

Currently feeling pretty miserable, we all have COVID, feeling rough, can't get Xmas shopping finished as planned, kids are bouncing off the walls. I need something to cheer me up so thought I would start wrapping the presents I already have.

Problem is I currently only have brown paper! Any suggestions of pretty ways to wrap with brown paper? I have access to other stuff - foliage, string, pine cones etc and happy to buy some bits but would like everything to be recyclable...

I had planned on using nice stamps but can't find any good ones online.

Also ideas for decoration of our Xmas table would be great, so far I have a white table cloth and not much else!!!

Thanks!!

I think that brown paper tied up with string and some dark green leaves would be lovely. What about jam jars with more festive foliage on the table?
Have you got candles? I’m thinking of trying to do a candle decoration Grin. I’m not hugely creative so should be interesting.
Couple of cyclamens? That’s what I’ve got.

I’m also trying to be eco friendly. Oh just thought of potato printing? Dc might like that too.

Sparkly pine cones? You can get eco glitter.

Also sorry you are all not well. I’ve had a sinus and middle ear infection for TWO months. My sister’s family all have covid. My Christmas wish is that we all feel better Xmas Smile

I wrapped some presents in brown paper the other day. To jazz them up a little I used a silver pen and drew stara, xmas trees and holly leaves on them as well as writing the to and from! Look quite festive. Was going to do some stamps, but ink pad dry.

What about dried orange or apple slices and cinnamon sticks.

I hope you feel better soon.

Definitely potato printing to help keep the kids occupied. If you have festive cookie cutters you can use those to get the perfect shape. You could also make salt dough stars/Christmas trees etc with a hole in to use as gift tags that can be reused as decorations.

For more sophisticated you can use metallic Sharpies to draw simple Holly, Christmas trees, stars etc. I usually do that on the brown gift tags (which you can make from the brown paper and a cereal box if needs be). I always do my wrapping in brown paper and I buy bundles of ribbon either from craft shops or eBay. I like to get a huge variety of different types so they all look different but I know some people by a different colour ribbon for different people to easily identify gifts.

I'm sorry you're feeling rough and wish you all a speedy recovery.

I hope you feel better soon, Ningaj.
How about getting the kids to draw pictures on the paper and colour them in?
Or greetings?
You can use ribbon, if you have any.
